Not sure where some of these reviews are coming from. Mitch Mullen has got to be one of the best divorce lawyers in NJ. My case was complicated. I went through three other lawyers. I dropped the three other lawyers because they either overbilled, didn't get back to me or were just incompetent. Mr. Mullen somehow navigated my litigious wife's lawyer, helped to get a baseless Final Restraining Order dismissed and charged me much less than everyone else. Mr. Mullen is technically competent and very honest. I think Mr. Mullen also does a good job because he has paralegals which do all the admin work. So there's never a problem with scheduling, fees or reaching Mr. Mullen for an update on your case

Very disappointed says one thing never did anything still never got any final paperwork conflicting reports I keep every email not one matches now I got screwed again

Do Not hire. He does not come through and continues to bill and say he will do something but does not . I must agree with the other reviews here . Alot of mistakes utililizing my money and time and no results just continuation of sending me bills . Went to another lawyer who resolved the matter swiftly for the retainer that I gave with one phone call to the opposing lawyer . Huge waste of money . He is rude and money hungry .

Mr. Mullen is a lifesaver!! I had a very complicated case.My ex- husband was unresponsive and difficult to work with during the divorce process. This was an emotional case and Mr. Mullen made the process so much easier. My family of 4 girls is everything to me and Mr.Mullen understood the importance. I was very happy with outcome in court. It's nice to know that there are still caring attorneys in the world.

I talked to a few Lawyers and decided to hire him because his retainer was the lowest and he initially said what the other Lawyers said. After hiring him he made every excuse for not doing what he said he would do. I called and said I'm firing him and then he said he would do what he originally said he would do. He sent the first motion to me for review, it had a lot of mistakes including stuff he made up. Then he sent me the filed motion again a lot of mistakes. He'll charge you for all of the mistakes he made, not inform you the other party has an Attorney or that the other person has agreed to just about everything you filed a motion for. He only cares about money which is why he charges you for all of the mistakes he makes, good Lawyers don't charge you for their mistakes. If you have any part of the retainer left when you fire him he'll find a way to charge you for whatever he can.

My husband and I hired this firm for a family court case. We worked with Giovanna, and we were very happy with the entire process. I found everyone in the office to be responsive, knowledgeable, most importantly they got us the results we were looking for. I would highly recommend this firm.

Mr. Mullen and his staff are very organised , competent, and value added.I have utilized his services twice, and have been more than satisfied and protected. Yes,I would definitely give my recommendation.And by the way I read all of the below comments prior to hiring Attorney Mullen. My comments is 2017 current.

Mr. Mullen represented me through two difficult legal issues. He continually stayed on top of things and always was one step ahead with the opposing attorney. He never let me down even when things got tough. Not only was he easily accessible his assistant Dora was always just a phone call or email away. Mr. Mullen proved over and over again that his heart was in everything and he always did things for the right reasons. I would recommend him to anyone who was in need of a reputable attorney. From this point forward I know if I ever need assistance or legal representation he will be my number one choice!!

Very bad experience was not professional at all money hungry did not know what he was doing charges for mistakes that they made kept sending us emails over and over just to Chargers. We hired this lawyer in February charging us a fee of $1,500 4 months later we paid him $2,575. When the court date came he was not prepared did not know what to say he got lost in his way to the court and charged us for that. We were one hour in the court and he charged us for 2 hours. Every copy, phone call, email, even the steps you made inside the lawyer office will be charged.

Mitch Mullen is the consummate professional -- he is calm, knowledgeable, experienced, and compassionate. He personally handled my divorce with diplomacy and efficiency, and it was a bitter fight . I think he is a wonderful attorney and advocate. I highly recommend him.

Interested in running up huge bills and creating an adversarial relationship between husband and wife in order to pad his fees. Also gives bad advise, like advising his client to file a lawsuit against a property that he knew was underwater!

Although it seems like an oxymoron, Mr. Mullen is an honest lawyer. He tells it like it is and works as hard as possible to get the results his client's desire. He is exceedingly professional in his dealings with his clients; from timely callbacks to case review. Mr. Mullen is fair and kind and these two qualities go quite a long way in family court. He is a determined fighter who fully supports his client's needs. He is an extremely capable lawyer- do not mistake his kindness for weakness. I was, and continue to be, thoroughly impressed by his poise in the courtroom as well as out.

Been to this lawyer a few times for a custody issue with my ex-wife. Knew the law well but didn't remember my first name when I came in for second visit had to remind him. Otherwise happy with the service. Would use him again but hope there are no more issues with ex.

Could not disagree more with prior review. Mr. Mullen handled my case with care and compassion. He was honest with me and clear about what I could expect in my divorce. I would highly recommend him to potential clients with any type of family law problem

My wife and I hired Mr. Mullen for a family case. He met with us and seemed to be all gung-ho in his office about our case. He came highly recommended by someone in the courthouse as a pitbull lawyer so we hired him. Communication was okay at best. We got to court 3 weeks or a month later and he was all disheveled, couldn't even remember my wife's last name or her daughter's name. He basically laid down in court. All he did was get the venue changed and nothing else to help my wife and her kids against her ex-husband. He did not fight for her children at all and stayed mute while her ex's lawyer slandered her in front of a court room of people. We got the court papers 2 weeks later and they were illegible, like a 2 year old wrote them and contrary to what the judge even said. Over the weekend he gave her false information and on Monday we fired him. I talked to him about the paperwork after we got it and he had a bad attitude with me. I would not recommend him to anyone save your money
