There are not many nice words to describe the characteristics of Mr. Housel. I just wish someone reads this one review and stays away from him. It's borderline scary on how he carries himself in his practice.

If you are looking for substandard representation from an attorney that doesn't know the basic premise of what an attorney's job is, but also DOES NOT CARE....about being an advocate for their client (especially if you're a woman). My divorce proceedings where scheduled to begin on a Monday morning in Houston (I'm from Dallas). This being my only divorce, we had planned to strategize and have him enlighten me on courtroom protocol. The Friday before my court date, his assistant called to inform me that he had changed his reservation from our flight Mon morning, to him flying alone on Sunday, so he could have some personal time to visit his with his fraternity brothers. Therefore in effect cancelling our only opportunity to discuss how he planned to proceed with my divorce, and what would be required of me. Due to his lack of communication and his misogynist attitude, what should be a cut and dried divorce proceeding, I ended up losing $20g+ in community propery after a 15 yr marriage.

You would think he was representing my spouse and not me. Did not give me the facts needed to make decisions. Would not listen to what I wanted, but sided with my spouse on what my spouse wanted. Drug out the process. Did not know what he was doing. I lost in so many ways. You hire an attorney as they have the knowledge and you do not. I felt I needed an attorney to represent me with my own attorney. When you are wounded and broken, you are putting your trust and your money to the professional, that he was not.
