Amy's practice is just a money grab, she helped us out at first then refused to continue with her obligation, we do not recommend her

Has reputation as "man eater", so if you are female and want a gender-biased unscrupulous lawyer who cares only about winning and client's interest over the best interest of the child, choose her.

The only thing I can say is that I had a consultation with her during COVID via telephone, spent $400.00 then when I wanted to retain her for a fee of $5000.00 she denied me ??? wtf Took my money and left me hanging.. Thats all I have to say is beware, get it in writing before you use Amy Katz, I just cant believe she tricked me out of $400.00, so sad

Overall, I would highly recommned Amy and Associates. Though an experienced lawyer with domestic violence, my case was passed over to an associate who was new to family law. I don't feel that the abuse I suffered was recognized by anyone in the process, including the judge who made the final order. In the end, though, all came out positively and the OCL report was all abut thrown out of court! Since then, I've had to go back to court once and will again in the near future - but only because the other party is not following court orders.

I give all 3s mainly because I'm not highly experienced with lawyers and I don't want to exalt her beyond what she is willing to actually help with. My experience was good! My situation was with CAS and I ended up getting my children back from them. I did everything as CAS said to do and my lawyer responded back to them if I had any concerns about my children. However, I don't feel that Amy Katz would go above and beyond to fight for any parents not unless and maybe if they had hard evidence backing them. I don't vaccinate and I believe I have rights, but when I shared my concern about that with Amy she simply told me to follow through with whatever CAS wanted and whatever the Dr wanted for the kids... meaning you have no say and Amy won't fight for you. This is important because you have the right to not vaccinate and you should never feel bullied into doing something. So judging based off of this I'm not sure what she is willing to help fight and not.... Choose wisely.

I cannot speak more highly about Ms. Katz and her staff. I found her to be a trusting and caring person who was always approachable and willing to take the time to explain the situation to me. I also felt very comfortable asking her or her assistants questions. Ms Katz is someone who will always fight in your corner no matter the odds and I can only compliment her on the courteous and professional way she handled my case. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to others.

Ms. Katz actually ended up screwing me/her client over in the long haul. She seemed uninterested and like the task at hand was one she wanted to rush and be done with. She single handedly screwed my case by not explaining details of her actions and convinced me to go her way which ultimately made the situation so much worse. She was not personal, she was not helpful in the court room and I later came to realize she in fact allowed the other party the right to refuse and make the decisions on our children involved. She was in a rush during a meeting with a judge and ended up not helping during the conference and left me on my own. I would not recommend her to anyone. One of the biggest mistakes I've made was by choosing her to represent my case.

When you first meet Ms. Katz she talks a good game, promises you that your case is straight forward, pretends to be on your side and makes the claim she will solve your situation quickly. After taking the retainer her attitude, views and "logic" changes. She continuously flip flops on her recommendations and drags things out. We had multiple email discussions and meetings to discuss the same important issues over and over again and each time it was like the information was new to her. She was always ill prepared and has no accountability. In total she wrote just two letters to the other lawyer and it cost me over $3000 with nothing to show. She also did not submit all of the provided disclosure documentation to the other side. In the two months I hired her she actively made my case worse. You will waste your money and your time. She is not worth her $450 hourly wage. I would not recommend her.

I absolutely adore Amy. She fights for the right reasons, she gets to know you, makes you feel very comfortable when seeing her, and she's extremely detailed. If there's a reason she cannot make it to court (which I've never had happen) she does make a point to have someone just as qualified to represent her. I know this from friends that have also acquired her services. I've read bad comments on her saying she is not good for men, just women, I don't believe that's true as I know a man that recently won a court battle having her as his lawyer. She is a wonderful person with best intentions on winning her case. I wouldn't trade her for any other lawyer in the world.

She talks a good game when you first go to see her but then is all about money. Pretty sad that I am a woman and I say that she is only for the woman in divorce cases. Will bleed the man dry without fighting for any of his rights. All the while having him comply to all the demands of the court while the woman provides no or minimal information and is even caught hiding financial information. Advise to stay away from her if you want a fair divorce. If you are the woman and want to take your ex for everything he has..then use her

This is the second time I have retained Amy Katz.. The most recent experience was a few weeks ago... Amy is always Profession.. and does her job well. We spoke on the phone previous to the court date,(two days notice) she assured me she would be there to represent me. When she arrived, she read the file for the first time, she communicated so I could understand about the file, it wasn't looking promising.. We went into court and Amy with her vast knowledge and Tenacity of the system.. and how it works... went to bat for me.. It was a very long but successful day.I would recommend Amy Katz to any friend... she is an amazing Lawyer and knows and does her job well!

I had an extremely positive experience with Amy and her staff. They were all friendly, very knowledgeable, patient and calm. I was extremely satisfied with the negotiated settlement which was ultimately achieved (which saved us both a lot of money because we were able to avoid court) and would definitely recommend that if you need a Family Law lawyer, you should use Amy Katz.

Amy Katz helped me through a time I never thought I'd recover from. She kept me satisfied the throughout the entire process while calming my constant nerves towards the case. Anyone who wouldn't choose her services are neglecting their potential success in court.

Amy is an extremely knowledgeable Attorney. She focused on my desired outcome and when the opposing Attorney didn't want to work towards a resolution, she was tenacious at holding him accountable for representing his client's best interest and not shuffling paper to earn higher fees. Over all a great experience considering the situation.

waste of time.. she lets the other lawyer dictates what happens and even agrees with them... had meetings with my ex and her lawyer without me there.... at first seemed interested in my case ..later just rode with it and let things happen without taking action... her partner id useless... could not help when Amy was on holiday.. only had to send a letter to the ex's lawyer about legal matters... do yourself a favour.. especially if you're a guy... stay away.. you'd can do better on your own.

Amy and her team are fantastic. Right from the very beginning of my dealing with Amy, Amy was upfront about what to expect, from both a financial perspective and how my case would evolve. Having never been through an experience like this before, Amy's approach made me feel much more at ease. She took the time to go over every aspect of my case and clearly explained the benefits and risks of each scenario. And then there is Cindy. Cindy has worked for Amy for years and has an amazing understanding of the Law herself. There were many times I called with questions and Cindy was able to answer them for me right off the top of her head. And no, I was never billed for these answers. In court Amy directly addressed issues head on with the opposing Attorney and did not back down from her position. She knew my case intimately even though she deals with many at a time and always was prepared in court. Don't believe the previous reviewer. There is no way that review reflects Amy Katz.

If u want your time/money wasted, Amy is for u. Does not like to be questioned, becomes very defensive when her mistakes are pointed out. Of course,u will be billed for corrections. Did her share of delaying resolution to issues,& of course, you are billed for it. Her approach is to be lax, she sits back & lets other lawyer dictate what's to happen next, she isn't "a go-getter." Again, if u want your time wasted and u want your ex to get away with murder she is the perfect lawyer for u. Communication is very poor, when u are lucky enough to get some answers, u are still left with many unanswered questions, like I said, be careful how you ask questions, she doesnt like to made to look like she doesn't know what is going on with your case. Professes to acknowledge the importance of your input, but really doesn't care about what u have to say, forgets her services are paid for, and has the attitude she is doing u a favour. Remember, the only person who knows what's best for u is YOU!
