He does not care about the emotional or financial damage to all parties involved. His objective is liquidate family assets at all costs , in order to ensure he is paid his outlandish fees. The same goes for his partner Rose. Family law issues are complicated at best, there are several professionals that are focused on settlement .Not these two , you might as well burn your assets !

Had no knowledge on technology..never demanded all the evidence..hung me outbto dry...told me it would be $25000...then added another@$31000...after failing..i had to go to office and go through evidence to supply him for court..he lost evidence...missfiled...didnt have disclosure..he cuaght lies underboath and never fought...told me to face judge..and then acted like he couldnt hear me..kept coming to backbof court to ask questions...never git rcmp files...phone records...bank records etc...tild me i could not come to office w others anymore..they were witnesses...never followed tgrough w witnesses...was the worst experience of my life...do not use him!! He allowed wuestioning which was of no concern for case/court...and actedblike he truly forgot important details...and he was friend s with other lawyer and judge!! Knew they were lying and never did his duty!! Billing was vague and when i asked for details he was rude and tild me it wasnt a big deal!!

He's expensive as they all are. He knows the law. However, do not be fooled by his knowledge of the law and the respect you think he will get in a courtroom. This office does not use email as every other office does now a days. They have computers from back when the brick cell phone was popular. I wish I was joking, but I am not. My paper work always had typos and errors. Letters that we discussed never got sent out to the other side. He was supposed to get orders and never did. I did not know he was not doing the things he said until many months later when I retained a new attorney. She found letters, etc that were written and never sent, in my file. I got a bill for almost 10k after months but I was still in the exact same spot as when I walked in the door. If you have a lot on the line, do not go here. READ RATINGS. It cost 5k a day just for trial. Who knows what the cost will be before that, so at least find a real attorney who is willing to work for you. This one will not. Sorry.

My husband was a family lawyer and I went to Vancouver and hired Mortimer trusting my legal interests were attended to and then emotionally I fell apart. In over a year, Mortimer did nothing but charge me for telephone calls and correspondence to tell me what HE was entitled to, all while my ex snowballed him and took our funds out of the country and bought his new Dollybabe a house out of our jurisdiction because Mortimer did not file Sec 67 to have our assets frozen until equally divided. Mortimer has been practicing for 50 years, most careers last 35ish, he is long past his prime and should retire. He looks like death in a suit, he cannot physically sit straight in his chair, his secretary is old and moves like a dinasour, he refuses to use any modern conveniences like the internet, email, not even a Visa machine. If my ex cannot practice anymore, why should Mortimer?? If you have found the courage to leave your spouse, do NOT put your trust in this man!
