I met Carlie unexpectedly, and during our brief conversation, I found out that she is a family law attorney, for which I had an urgent need. Given her extensive knowledge and experience in family law, I decided to retain her services. She proved to be a consummate professional who was confident yet realistic and was always early for court to prepare our case and discuss any new information. Needless to say, she won our case that 2 other lawyers turned away. Our community needs more lawyers like her.

Worst experience ever! I had a child custody/parental time/child support case that was drawn out over a year and a half for a child that was 14 years old at the start of it. I hired Carlie due to me using her for a prior uncontested divorce, and having a positive experience with that. Wow did I make a mistake! I had many, many emails with questions all unanswered. Thought a lawyer was supposed to give advice..NEVER got advice, just problem after problem. NEVER was informed there was a possibility i would have to pay other party's lawyer fees either. They tried to get me to pay over $20,500. Carlie sucked over $16,000 out of me already. Judge wrongfully and i believe illegally, ordered a judgment of $8,000 against me in the end....ironically, it will never be over, until the kid is 18. But i know i fare better without Carlie. Carlie had the guts to say she felt we got a good outcome, when i got less child support and less time with my kid. Highly DO NOT recommend this lawyer!

Carlie is an excellent lawyer. I initially hired her over six years ago to assist with my divorce and custody issues and we won all of our cases. I am now using her services for my relocation case and things are going well. Carlie is an expert in family court proceedings and is very aggressive in the courtroom. I have also worked with her partner, Jack, and her entire staff. They have all been very attentive and have all helped me feel very confident with their services. I would highly recommend Carlie and her entire staff if you need help with divorce or other family issues!

Carlie was instrumental in getting my son returned to Arizona. She is hard nosed in court and did an excellent job of keeping me on task during questioning. When it came to questioning my son's mom, she had a well thought out and clear direction. Overall, was very happy with the outcome from my case. I knew going into this situation that not going to be one that would be easy. Her staff worked with us and to her credit, the one time there was a mistake, she owned up to it, fixed it and ensured her staff we accountable to the issue. I can not thank Carlie and her staff enough for the effort they put into my case.

Mrs. Owsley Walker is an amazing attorney. I was currently in my 3rd custody battle for my daughters and reached out to Mrs. Owsley Walker for help. The moment I met with her I knew she was the lawyer that was going to fit like a mad bulldog to get my case heard and show that the father was in contempt. Our court date came on a Monday and we had a parenting conference opinion that was stating that no changes should be made. Carlie and I met Friday before and went over everything to prove both the agreement and parenting conference were not in the best judgment of my girls. Court date came and Mrs. Owsley Walker knocked it out of the park and the judge changed the rules and is enforcing a change for the girls to be with me primarly and with final decision making. Thank you Owsley Lawfirm I couldn't have won this battle with out your commitment and amazing talents. Please use this lawyer she is the best there is out there.

Carlie is a kind lady who was EXPERT handling my divorce. No minor children, just a case of dividing assets, medical bills, retirement, spousal support, back taxes. I've been on a very fixed income, she was able to secure funds from my ex to cover legal expenses & as he dropped me from health ins., the judge ordered him to pay 1/2 medical expenses I endured. She represented me well at trial. We were able to agree out of court & went great before the judge.
Carlie will go to bat for you, she has a level head, she doesn't take no for an answer, she's educated & quick.
I have taken the time to write this review so you will see that the stigma of lawyers being crooked & just out for money is not always true. She took my case with 800 bucks down because that's all I had. She and her office staff work out payment arrangements and to keep costs to a minimum oftentimes the staff can answer questions and it not be charged out of the retainer.

Carlie has been the best thing that could happen to my fiance and his children..Unfortunately Arizona is a "MOTHERS" state..and NOT ALL women should be mothers or have their kids..Carlie was referred to us by another father who retained her and won full custody of his child.She has been very helpful to us thru this whole process as well as her assistant..We still have a ways to go with our case but have all the the confidence in Carlie to get us thru this time.. I highly recommend Carlie if you need a lawyer to get you results..and if your a father tired of being raped by the system and your ex wife..

I have had lawyers in the past and none if them compare to Carlie! Other lawyers just take your money and does minimal work. Carlie is very honest and does the best she can possibly do to win your case. Im still in shock at the work she has put into my case and the letters she had written for me. I always feel nervous when im in court, but with Carlie by my side, I have no fear. I would recommend Carlie to anyone who wants an honest hardworking lawyer. She is the best!

My first attorney, with over 39 years in practice and very well known, was hospitalized and unable to further represent me. Compared to him, Carlie was much more thorough, knowledgeable and able to think quickly on her feet for my behalf. As a matter of fact, I have not received the judge's decision but regardless of the decision, I believe Carlie was the best attorney I could ever have. I am grateful that she represented me in matters involving child custody. I found Carlie to be very personable, highly efficient, competent lawyer, and could not be more pleased with her representation, she was outstanding and impressive!

I know more than most people about relationship conflict and divorce. When I needed help, Carlie met with me during a difficult time for a FREE consultation and spent time with me to sort out what I was going through. When I tried to do things myself, it got messy and she quickly went to work on my case and began the process efficiently and professionally. She was unwavering and aggressive in pursuing my needs in the process and was so skilled and disarming in negotiation and court that it was almost over before it started. Her knowledge of family law, how things should be done, and execution made the process easy, even for the judge. At the beginning of our first court date to set more court dates, Carlie was able to bridge the gap between my ex and I so quickly, my ex was thanking her for her service. All during this time I affectionately described Carlie as my "pitbull" because of her devotion and tenacity. She was MY lawyer and I have since recommended her to several people.

Her contact with me was atrocious. Gettin updates was like pulling teeth. She was unprepared for court, did not know what she was talking about in court, had to remind her things as we went. I worked out an agreement with my EX and it took her over a month and half to draw it up, by then my ex changed her mind. went back to court, judge said come to an agreement. Again my ex and I worked it out ourselves, told Carlie to draw it up, here we are 3 weeks later, and still nothing. Asked her via email, and her assistant over the phone about updates and was told nothing. She is quick to charge for every little email, quick to ask for that next check, but very slow at actually working the case. I handed her a slam dunk, and its turned into a 8k investment thats a joke. I will be reporting her to the bar, and seeking money back. Also her billing is a joke, I submit payment, 3 weeks later she is still asking for money. I have to call her office and remind them to post the payment

Carlie was hired to make sure my kids were safe. She barely communicated with me and when she did she never answered any of my questions. She didn't include several witnesses that were supposed to be listed at trial and were unable to use those witnesses. She didn't respond to a motion and didn't inform me that opposing counsel could receive fees that I would have to pay. All she continued to do was ask for more money when there was never a positive outcome in my case. She was not dilligent and at the last minute had to retain another attorney.

Carlie Owsley Walker did a great job with a difficult situation concerning, grandparents "rights." She was well versed on the judges and immediately recommended a judge change, and it was smooth sailing from there on out. She successfully got the case dismissed without one court appearance. I want to say Carlie is an amazing attorney. I went through a horrible, ugly ,divorce. She definitely did her job. At the beginning i thought she was not paying attention to my case, but little did i know she was working on my case quietly like a good lawyer. She worked hard on finding good evidence to support my case. Carlie saved my daughter(minor) from pontential serious danger, and im talking serious, serious danger. Most of what we were requesting in court we got it, thanks to her hard work. ON the day of my hearing "Oh my" she fought for me like a Lion. I was amazed to see how agressive she can be when fighting a case. I had no money and she was willing to work on payments Thank you so much. I would highly recommend her. Carlie didn't do her work she wsa paid to do. I researched, corrected and did a lot of her work as her assistants were worthless. She didn't return calls, double billed me, and emails back did not have answers to specific questions. She didn't fight for me in court, was unprepared for every court appearance, and was constantly asking for money. I found out 6 months after my divorce trial she didn't file correctly and I was still married. I've had to hire another attorney to clean up her mess. He said she is unprofessional, lacks basic knowledge of law and is unethical. I agree. I STILL don't have my money, property, access to my children or my name and she has the gall to ask for money when she didn't do her job. She blamed ME when her people couldn't type a simple document and I said to correct it. I have documentation to back up all my claims. She simply disgusts me.

Carlie was very knowledgeable and agressive to protect my rights. Though my ex-wife and I agreed on most everything, I always felt well represented and safe with Carlie and our direction with our divorce. I have recommended her recently to someone close to my family who is having a difficult case involving custody for the father, and she has helped him maintain full custody starting their proceedings. Carlie was not prepared for any of the hearings that she represented me at. Carlie would blame me by saying that I didn't give her information and by the end of the trial, the opposing counsel would simply let Carlie yell at his client simply because it was very obvious that her actions were alienating the judge in my case. I fired her and represented myself immedaitely following the hearing.

I hired Carlie for my daughter as a BIA. I was really surprised that she gave my daughter her cell phone and email just to give my daughter peace. She so far as been very aggressive and even took a special course to further better herself for this case. She is very dedicated and I felt she really tried hard in court. I am looking forward to working with her but more importantly knowing someone is going to give my kids a voice in court!

We have been with Carlie since 2007 and she has really gone to bat for us. It has been a difficult journey, but we feel that without her, we would have not been able to succeed in gaining the custody that we have. She was very detailed oreinted in the court proceedings and listened to each of our concerns. We feel that she is down to earth, yet very professional in dealing with our case. One of her previous clients referred her to me, I hired carlie in 09" for my divorce everything was done very quickly and she worked out a payment plan with me, she got the results I wanted and I recently hired her again to enforce child support and everything is going as she informed me, she doesnt over charge and works with you if you can't pay everything at once. I chose Carlie almost 2 years ago, she immediatley understood the unfairness of my case and was up front about what I could expect. Carlie was the best. After being dropped by another attorney for no reason she picked up the pieces and ran with it. Carlie had her hands full with my case, even the judge was sweating trying to sort it. Carlie was calm, cool and collected, and seemed disinterested while the other lawyer was blowing hot air, but she never skipped a beat, she'd object with out even looking up from her notes, great poker face. I had her services right about the time she split from her old firm, so I was worried to say the least, a few missed emails here and there but aside from that she guarded me and my boys and I walked away from court with a little more zip to my dooda!
