It can be so difficult to come by a genuinely honest, passionate, and caring family lawyer. However, Ms. Yousefi and her entire firm are trustworthy, reliable, extremely friendly and always professional. I really don’t know what I would have done without her on my side. I am normally not the type to write a review but I am so thankful for everything that Leena has done for me that I recommend her and her firm to anyone who needs help. I spent three years with my previous lawyer while my case went no where and they ran up my retainer. Within 6 months of hiring Leena we were able to settle my case. I do not recommend Leena or YLaw. I feel robbed. I retained this firm with specific requests and NONE of my requested were completed or even attempted. Instead I was billed for things that I did NOT request. My retainer we burned through within few weeks of retaining YLaws services. When I wanted to discuss my bill, they refused to talk to me at all unless I gave them 5k immediately. This firm is unprofessional and unethical. I’ve rated this firm as low as possible as this is accurate for what I experience. Going with YLaw was a mistake and one I seriously regret. I was just a number from start to finish.

My Ex lied to police and MCFD,took my son away and prevented access for about 15 months. Legal matters were complex. Leena had represented me with integrity. Leena had to deal with many false accusations and other problems created by my Ex and her lawyers. I had to hire another lawyer due to timing and how things proceeded. We still kept in contact. I had to attend trial myself for 10 days against her team of lawyers. The judge gave me additional time to prepare for a final day of submissions. Leena dropped everything to work on my case immediately after getting back from vacation and attended trial to represent me with less than a week to prepare! There are no words to describe what she has done for my son and my family! Leena presented arguments as if she was present during the entire trial. Without a doubt, my son has been given a second chance with my family and me due to Leena’s selfless act. Leena had many family obligations and brought her 3-month-old baby while attending trial!

There is no feeling in the world like the feeling that you are completely lost and drawing and someone is just there holding you up and taking you to safety.I don't know what I would have done if Leena wasn't there protecting me throughout out my divorce journey. She was very quick at moving my case forward and made such strong arguments in front of the mediator and my ex that they didn't have any choice but to agree and settle on really good terms. After a disastrous run with my first lawyer, I chose ms. Yousefi to represent me with my family law matter. I do not agree with the (only) negative comment below for various reasons. The person who wrote that comment is someone who told Leena not to work on her file due to financial reasons and after several months, expected Leena to remember all the deadlines on the case and to assist her despite telling Leena to do the opposite (read the response to the comment). I have also worked with Leena for several months at her new office and have experienced nothing but professionalism and efficiency when it comes to her work and her staff. She gets back to my calls and emails almost always on the same day and at the latest the next day. Leena as my lawyer guides and simplifies my divorce process for me is one of the hardest working people I know.

Used to be good, but ever since move to new office has dropped the ball. Not keeping appointments, not communicating; unprofessional conduct (making things personal). Seems more concerned with optics than the legal situation of the client. After very frustrating experience with a "prominent" senior lawyer(QC), Leena was like a fresh breeze. Leena Yousefi is a magnificent attorney. Previously I hired a very prominent Senior Lawyer (QE). I knew I had a battle in front of me and felt I had the best. I have been seeing Ms. Yousefi over the last two years or so, before I even left my now ex-husband. She has been a saving grace for me throughout this extremely challenging time in my life. She is sincere, dedicated and knowledgeable, all the while honestly looking out for me and my son's best interests and the best interests of my budget. At first, Leena and I were able to reach a 'consent order' with my ex, which was great initially until my ex started to breach the consent order. Leena fought hard for me and my son again and did a fantastic job with a recent big win for us in Supreme Court. What makes her truly effective is her ability to know when to make a move and what move to make. She is knowledgeable about family law and the processes; the judge even commented on how well written my affidavit was. I put my complete trust in Leena and I couldn't be more happier with the results. If I happen to require her services in the future, I would without doubt use Leena again.

Leena is passionate, hard working and knows the law. She put 110% into my case. I have fought what has felt like a losing battle for 6 years and had various different lawyers during this time. Leena is the only one who actually produced postive results for my children. I highly recommend using Leena to help you. I had major issues with FMEP and an ex who was very resistent in allowing our children the right to have a father in a court system that always seemed to agree with my ex regardless of how unjust it all was. I am now a satisfied father who has equal guardianship rights and EVERY weekend. Not 1 or 2 weekends. EVERY weedend with my kids!!! That speaks volumes. I now have more face to face time with my kids than my ex does.

Lorne Maclean and his team did an excellent job on my recent hearing. They had very time to prepare for my hearing and review my extensive file from previous lawyers. Leena Yousefi represented me in court because we were presented a hearing date from the opposing bullish lawyer on very short notice and Mr. Maclean was on a trial. Leena did a wonderful job. She was strong and stood her ground on my issues. She did such a wonderful job that I was successfully awarded more than I had originally hoped for. Even the judge was impressed with Leena and made a comment on how well she handled herself.
