I'm very surprised by some of the negative commentary. I have used Brad on three transactions and have found him to be level-headed and with a strong sense of justice. One of the issues he sorted out for me was removing a builder's lien which had no basis in fact. He barely charged me anything and expressed his disgust on my behalf. I have referred him to several friends and they share my opinion that his fees are reasonable and that he will take the time to talk you through complex issues. People need to understand that lawyers, especially ones without admin support, are very busy, so if you're expecting him to chat to you like he's your hairdresser, then you need to adjust your own commmunication skills.

Utilized Brad for a simple real estate transaction. Most reasonable fee in Victoria BC. Required a reminder of fee quoted and final bill was adjusted accordingly. We would recommend Brad.

Horrible lawyer! Very rude & condescending. Always too busy to assist with questions. Made it out like his time was much more important than mine. Very unprofessional. Wouldn't recommend to anyone!

I found him to be condescending and not friendly at all. I felt he was rude to me, and did not feel as though he took the time to explain fees and procedures. He even used a capitalized word in an email to me, which is considered shouting in internet etiquette.I do not recommend him if you are younger, he won't respect you.

Brad dealt with a property transaction and prepared a will for me. He is thoroughly competent in his work and very reasonable in his charges. He has also provided me with advice with respect to matrimonial matters. I found him to be a good judge of human character. Adjectives I would apply: professional, sensible, helpful. I have recommended him to friends and to a relative.

I would not recommend Brad Friesen. While he states that his rates are very competitive, he refuses to give his hourly rate to potential clients. I have asked 2 friends to ask for his hourly rate and they never got a clear answer back despite several email exchanges. Instead, he gives a very low estimate to his potential clients in order to get their business. Unfortunately, Mr. Friesen's final bill may be quite disconnected from his initial estimate. In my case, his final bill was nearly twice his estimate. in addition, Mr. Friesen refused to respond to my questions regarding his final bill. I subsequently learned that Mr. Friesen does not use a time recording device, unlike most lawyers nowadays.

Excellent service. Lots of experience in property related transactions and wills and estates; has done work for my architectural firm clients and for various family members for wills, estates and miscellaneous contract issues. Quick turnaround, excellent rates -- keeps his overhead low and passes those savings on to clients. Fair, easy to talk to, takes the time to know what you want and why, and delivers.
