During my 39 years of working in Real Estate, I have met many different lawyers. My main concern for my clients has always been to recommend a lawyer who is knowledgeable, efficient, effective, honest & thorough. Gary handled my fathers estate. What we originally thought would be a simple estate turned out to be quite complicated due to some errors my father made when making his (non-lawyer approved) Will. Gary walked my family through the legal requirements to fix the Will and have it approved by the courts, which we would have been grossly unfamiliar with. I have read the other reviews on slow response time; however the only slow responses were mine as he often nudged me on things needed to be signed and submitted when I didn't get them completed in a timely matter. I would highly recommend Gary and his practice as I have also worked with other members of the team on numerous real estate transactions and they have always acted in my best interest, including requesting the bank to change their methods of transactions in order to reduce the total fees I would be held accountable for. I would highly recommend both Gary and this law office for Wills & Estates and Real Estate transactions.

DO NOT HIRE GARY MINUK! He does not act in his client's best interest but in his own. He will pull any stunt to prolong the case and put more money in his pocket. He is unbelievably unorganized. The man seems to have never heard of a filing cabinet; all of his case files are in manila folders held flimsily together by an elastic band and stacked haphazardly around his office. He does not seem to remember what you have discussed with him or any details of your case whether you're discussing a phone call, an email, or an in-person meeting. He orders his poor secretary around with impunity and just generally treats other people with contempt and disdain. Do NOT, under any circumstances, trust Gary Minuk with your business or your money. His only goal is to squeeze his clients for as much as he possibly can by being obstructive, feeding his clients misinformation, and being so generally disorganized that he cannot discuss anything of substance with his clients. Worst lawyer in the city.

Gary Minuk is the best lawyer, in Winnipeg, bar none. When Gary and I first met, I refused to listen to him and take his advice, but when I finally realized he knew his stuff...my whole life turned around. He was absolutely right in all respects and danced circles around the other lawyer we were dealing with. He is awesome, he is personable, he is kind, caring, considerate, fair and tries his very best for everyone. Gary has had many years experience in his field re family law and real estate. I would never go to or recommend any other lawyer, and I now recommend him first to all my friends, family and acquaintances continuously. He treats you like family. I only wish that I had found him before I wasted a lot of time and money on other lawyers. You couldn't pay me to go to any other lawyer. Gary's worth every cent and more!!! All Gary had to do was add my husband to an existing title in Wpg and to witness us signing papers from AB.We worked out all the finances with a bank in AB.We did not deal with anyone in Wpg.I gave Gary all the contact information of the person & to call if he had any questions or concerns.Gary opted on his own to contact someone in Wpg and requisition funds,close out our existing mortgage and buy Title Ins which he was told NOT to do.He ignored our request and instructions and almost cost us the sale of the house,twice.He obviously was not prepared for us bouncing in and out of his office,seemed confused by the papers he was reading,using profanity.Gary charged a high fee for doing things he was instructed NOT to do and then took the fee from the monies he requisitioned which made us short for the closing of the sale in AB.The bank in AB had to fix the mess that Gary made.Gary ended up costing us more than$2,500.00 than it should have.He was very arrogant, unprofessional & incompetent

Couldn't get over how hard he and his team worked for us (that Cherie is a gem). We had a real estate transaction that needed to be rushed and they went above and beyond for us. Knowledgeable, honest and a straight shooter. Will use again and would recommend highly.

Gary knows his stuff and if given a chance he will dance around the other lawyer as my family law lawyer. He takes control and makes the other lawyer look like he just came out of school. Just listen to what he has to say as he is always right and very capable. Glad I finally listened to him and we became friends, it all turned around very quickly after that. I had my doubts at first, but never again. I highly recommend Gary. He is worth his weight in gold.

If you're looking for an honest, forthright, engaging attorney than Gary is your guy. I was really impressed by his knowledge of the law and more importantly by his honesty. Gary and his team bungled up the paperwork of my home sale.. Upon finally going to their office for a clear answer. Since no one could be reached by phone. A slew of excuses ensued. As well as a few lies.. Avoid id doing any business with Gary as he's a really nice guy. But a crappy lawyer. Still not resolved. An I've had to contact the law society of Manitoba to resolve this matter.. Regards

Do yourself a favor and use Gary Minuk as your lawyer. Professional, courteous, knowledgeable, approachable, and a pleasure to deal with. He gave my brother and I an initial consultation regarding our parents' estate and answered all our questions. He provided us with some notarized documents and took M & M's as payment. I will definitely be giving my business to Gary in the future.
