Barbara Watry is the most dishonest woman my family has ever encountered and she has the track record to prove it (look at her disgraced release from FL police dept for unethical behavior). She dragged out a family case for 3 years and charged over $40,000 for her fees. She went 2 years not even talking to the children she was hired to represent as the GAL and instead acted as a confidant to a parent- racking up this unimaginable bill. She has also been removed from a case in the state of MI for her unethical actions. There are many other good options available for attorneys that can help your family - go with someone else.

If 0 was an option she would get it. Very unethical and deceptive. Do not agree to work with this woman, she will hardly speak to your children and lie about conversations that she has had. She does not consider therapists or other individuals working with child insisting that she "knows how to get things out of kids". Research this unethical woman before hiring.

Its sad to me its always the unhappy people who "lose" their case that have to blame everyone else (lawyers) instead of accepting responsibility for their poor parenting, immature behaviors and manipulative behaviors. Mrs. Watry is appropriate and has best interest in mid.

Watry is an abusive, and a violator of the position she is given. She executes recommendations to frustrate the parent that has the best interest of the child. She works with the other parent on a consistent basis without ever meeting with the reasonable parent who she has intentionally frustrated to show the courts the parent that she has worked with is the good parent while she deceivingly has abused her given role to frustrate the other parent who HOLDs the best interest of the child. The reasonable parent that will not agree to her ONE sided investigations, will then become her victim to her ongoing abuse of her clever and tactful method to execute change of custody. This is a CLEAR violation of the LAWs for PCP.She is currently being investigated and will be reprimanded by the Bar association for unlawfully abusing her given position. There are many attorneys who will confirm her illegal course of actions. She should not be allowed to ever come close to families.

Diplomatic and thorough. She did a great job talking to everyone we requested and prepared a detailed 40 page report in a timely manner. Highly, Highly recommend!

This lawyer isn't loyal or honest, talks over you and doesn't listen to your needs, high ego and assumes she knows everything without even listening, she's got only one thing in her interest and it's all about the money ! not to mention how unprofessional and very rude almost thuggish she is!

The Courts of Michigan needs to know this lawyer Barbara Lynn Watry born 3/23/1953 from Redford Michigan where she moved to Coral Springs Florida she committed few unethical acts that somehow she became a lawyer, does the Bar know of this unethical person's illegal background? This person should not be near families!

Beware!! I agree with previous comment . She charged me a ridiculous amount when I never spoke with her or hired her as she was hired for the opposing side. Bad practice, bad person. She is not honest.

We used her both mediation and arbitration. Bad practice. She charged me several thousand dollars in mediation even though she only spent less than 1 hour with me and spend 10++ hours with the opposing. Of course we were dealing with a very difficult individual as an opposing party, however, the total amount she put us through is unreasonable. Does she has skills to mediate, really? It seems she just accumulated those hours for her own sake. At the arbitration, again she charged me unreasonable amount for the work she did, and she didn't. She did utterly unfair arbitration leaving me nothing but blankets to sleep with and a few other items to survive (by awarding everything else to the opposing). What happened to 50/50? At the arbitration, her manner was very bad, and very unprofessional. Be very careful with this one. There are more bad reviews on her on the web.
