Amy Allred was court appointed to my case in Catawba County. I've been to court 4 times now and neither time she has showed up. Also, it's difficult to actually reach her on a consistent number.

Lost documents, very difficult to deal with. Continually gave us misinformation. Was very ineffective in our case and then quit, of course after her fees were paid.

Amy is a very unprofessional lawyer. She charges the whole fee up front and you are lucky if you get a phone call from her. She was hired last year and has never went to court for my custody battle. The only thing she did was meet with the other lawyer for a temporary custody order and several months later she dropped my case. I was not told if I didn't go to court that the temporary order would be permanent from the date the order was made. I would not recommend this lawyer to anyone to hire. She does not answer her e-mails, phone calls etc...until days, weeks & months later.

Amy is very inefficient and lacks professionalism. She receives her fees upfront before a case is started. After all funds are paid, it's nearly impossible to get her to return any phone calls, all you get is a voice mail and hopefully a call back after weeks of messages left. Nine months and a simple case has not even been presented to a judge, after being told the case would be finalized several months ago. No answers from Ms Allred. Recently Ms Allred's staff has informed she is no longer at her location and no valid location is being provided. What happened to the best intrest of the client?

Amy is a horrible attorney. She wants to get paid and doesnt do anything you ask of her. She doesnt return calls or emails until weeks later. Her staff never knows where she is or how to contact her. I had to correct typing errors on all documents before anything can be sent to opposing attorney. Her office always lost paperwork and I had to send new copies all the time. She never got my case before a judge even after months of pleading with her to do so.

Very difficult to communicate with - does not respond to messages until several are left for her. Office staff/administrative support is pitiful and causes more confusion and conflict than anything. I would NOT recommend this attorney - she is lame and has no interest in going to bat for the welfare of the children or what is in their best interest whatsoever. She is unprofessional and has a part time practice and is never available when you really need her.
