The first experience I had with the family law process was not a good one. The experience I had with my original lawyer left me feeling very let down, dejected, and wondering who they truly represented. I didn't think I ever had any chance of getting an equitable agreement until I met Cyndy. She took on my very difficult case and made sure that I was involved in the process and set my expectation that we both had to be prepared to participate in the process. She challenged me, pushed me, and made me look at things in ways I had never look at them before. I learned a lot about the process and learned along the way that Cyndy really cared about my case. Do yourself a favour and speak to Cyndy and her team before hiring a family lawyer. The biggest regret I had with Cyndy was not finding her sooner.

Cyndy Morin and all of her staff were simply amazing for me. I have been involved in a very contested custody dispute for the past 2 plus years. Although our best efforts were made to avoid a trial, unfortunately the other side wants to move to another province and since I don't support the decision her only chance was to go to trial. Cyndy and her wonderful articling student conducted the trial and were amazing. Cyndy will go against everything you retained her services and attempt to push you into a agreement you didn't want, based on what "she" thinks is best for you regardless of the circumstances. When you disagree with her she will withdraw as your legal counsel and take her undertakings with her. She will even accept applications on your behalf and delay serving them with you leaving you unprepared to defend yourself in court

Cyndy made the imposible happen for us during a potential custody battle. She received a decision from the courts that allowed us to feel safe again. She was empathetic, gave us 100 percent of her attention and was professional. Her rates were with in line with other firms. We were never given an associate to deal with. We are grateful to Cyndy

It seems like you either like her or you don't. I'm afraid I fall into the later category. She was friendly at the beginning but seemed pretty full of herself as time went on, like she is so busy that you are really lucky she is giving you her time. The result was okay, not great. It felt like she just wanted to get it done and not get the best result for me. Can't say I'd recommend her. Wish I'd hired the guy my ex had.

I was in a 10 year custody battle. 3 years self representing... Then I met Cindy. Why couldn't I have found her years earlier! At a time I felt defeated and severely stressed, Cindy made me feel great again and without her I would never have been as great in the custody trial.As a father it was so refreshing to see a lawyer really look at the case and not gender.I am forever greatful. Cyndy did an amazing job!!! She has been very lucky for me from the very beginning.
To give an insight, my divorce case had been hanging for 2 years fighting on same issues again and again.I was very frustrated when Cyndy took my file. She immediately called the opposing counsel for a settlement meeting. The meeting lasted for 6 hours and guess what? She nailed it!! I had been struggling so hard financially and emotionally for last 2 years with no success.

Do not use this women, she does not have your best interest when negation any type of settlement unless you can afford to go to court. She will negotiate on a settlement that you fully disagree with and will make everyone in the room aware that she will drop you as her client if you attempt to disagree with what's being offered. She has little disregards to honor her commitments she makes with you. You will pay $1000,s to deal with her assistant cause she is never available.She will make a commitment on your behalf regardless if you disagree with it and then leave you on your own to defend her actions that will have severe consequences.

I see two primary issues. First, she doesn't know what she needs to know and worse, she doesn't know that she doesn't know. Second, you cannot trust what she does say. My honest advice would be to keep looking.

Cyndy Morin was a horrible lawyer for us. she basically wanted money from our family a quick payout from us and still did not help us beat our case. She basically settled for what the judge decided and not even try to fight for us. Because of her we lost so much money invested into our family case and the fact that we had put all our trust and confidence into her doing a good job. we are absolutely devestated with the outcome of the results based on horrible judgement and her wrong doing of showing no effort in our case along with any sympathy or acknowledgement that it was extremely important to us. She lives up to the stereotype of the term "lawyers are shady and only pretend to help you till your money is fully deposited into their accounts and thats it" Cyndy Morin is an exact replica of Len Kachinsky from making a murder. She not only kept taking money from our family but kept the trial and battle dragging on and on till she could take as much as she could from our family.

Wow! Amazing and knowledgable . She was the only lawyer we found who understood jurisdictional law. We had lawyers in BC, On. MB and NS who could not give us the advice we needed. Compared to large law firms like Foster, the attitude, willingness to help reduce costs and reasonable billing practices (Foster once billed me 1 hour at $375 for a meeting that lasted 12 minutes), Cyndy and Resolve Legal Group have been stellar. I have no complaints and I have always been impressed with Cyndy's knowledge and especially her tenacity. She is someone who works well for the underdog in my opinion. While not every lawyer is a good fit for every person, I have more than once recommended Cyndy and Resolve Legal group as a first choice for friends of mine in need of family law help.

If you are looking for a touchy feely lawyer who does not deliver expedient results, Cindy may be your gal. Despite hiring her, she farmed important responsibilities out to articling students; her reason being that she was saving me money. Saving money without achieving results is a moot point.

After years of a difficult custody situation, unsuccessful negotiations with my child's mother and having paid thousands to an alternate lawyer who couldn't get the job done, we were (thankfully) put in contact with Cyndy. She was direct,informative and realistic in what our expectations should be. We had a VERY difficult custody case, crossing borders into British Columbia. The biological mother was an enormous challenge. Cyndy entered as our lawyer with the intention to mediate and negotiate. She was quick to realize that this was NOT going to be feasible given the unwillingness of the child's mother. She proceeded to work for the best interests of the child. When we went to court and the situation became potentially confrontative (again because of the child's mother) after exiting the court room, she acquired a Court Marshall escort for us back to her Law Office. She is an EXCELLENT lawyer who I have recommended many times.
