This lawyer is the worst, she just wants to take all the money she can from you, she is very unprofessional, treats her clients like garbage, she does not care about the client at all, she is never available and is a liar. Stay away from this person.

Worse attorney ever. Never responds to emails, never returns calls, very careless. Not empathetic at all. All these lawyers care about is money. She keeps charging me for false charges. I got an invoice where she broke down the charges. One of the charges was that she had a correspondence with me for an hour. So I emailed her to explain explain charges because I haven't communicated with this lady in over a month. She never returns my call nor emails. She never contacted me back to explain the charges. She just dropped representation of me without even explaining anything. This is by far the worse experience I've ever encountered with a human being. Anyone who is thinking of having this woman represent you,I suggest someone who cares about people and who is empathetic and compassionate towards their situations. Divorce is a tough Era in one's life, to feel even worse when the person representing isn't doing their job adds to the stress.

This doesn't sound like Jodie. She helped my children stay safe, and she went above and beyond in every aspect. She is very busy, but ALWAYS handles my case appropriately

Jodie filed a motion with countless errors on it costing me an additional $60k in legal fees. I would not recommend this attorney to my worst enemy.

Jodi misrepresented me and turned what should have been an uncontested divorce into an absolute legal nightmare. She has ruined any possibility of an amigo relationship with my children's mother.

I laugh as I read the comments on here. Jodie has represented me during my divorce and afterwards. In my post divorce, I have had many issues with my ex-wife and my child custody with her. Jodie has helped me get court decisions in my favor. Is she perfect? Maybe yes, maybe no. For my case she was. I continue to use her and I have recommended her two other cases. And both have been happy. Its better to have an aggressive person defending you than a lawyer that does everything. She a divorce attorney and that what you want helping you.

Jodi : she’s a sellout and a big disappointment , I actually did my own mediation when she were not sure what to do. She gave me one flat rate and still ended up with $1500.00 my x paid to her, she said she were going to let him pay my attorney fees, no such thing she kept the $1500.00.

Jodie represented me in a recent case her knowledge and experience with family law is extensive and she will fight to get you the best outcome. When I read these reviews I was skeptical but she came highly recommend from a close friend. She did not disappoint. Unfortunately family law is peace and sunflowers. My advice get an attorney that is going to get job done effectively in as little time as possible. I will recommend Ms.Bassichis to everyone. Her assistant is also very sweet. This is the one time I'm happy I followed my gut instinct and not terrible reviews.

Will milk every signle Motion to gain billable time without your consent or approval. Does not listen to the client and will always have an excuse. She will get the job done but it will always be an uphill battle and she will pad the time. Keep track of your time invested and the billing. There will always be an error in her favor.

I hired jodie to finalize my divorce, i was a bit iffy because of all the bad rating she had on the internet. but it turns out she is awesome at what she does. she got me exactly what i want from my divorce and my ex- husband was actually pleased as well. she has never giving me a hard time with returning phone calls, emails or answering any of my question, if she could not get back to me in a reasonable time frame, her assistant Karynah took very good care of things. those two women make a great team. I HIGHLY recommend this attorney she is not pricey and works hard for what you want and need THANK YOU Ladies you guys did a terrific job

STOP RIGHT NOW! Save your money and represent yourself you'll do much better Pro Se. The level of professionalism is "0", the level of competence is "0" and communication is "0". All pleadings had huge amounts of errors which I had to mark up for revisions once, twice and still submitted to court with errors. I was informed by the so called legal assistant that the attorney did the pleadings (can't be true) and I was told when I dismissed counsel that I was not charged for correcting the errors lol. I was so embarrassed when I heard from the opposition "where did you find your representative what a joke." Good money poorly spent. Time of court appearance (via phone) all confused and rattled and provided court with incorrect information. What a joke! Please, don't let the free consultation fool you, in fact, do your research unless you don't care. Also, the so called legal assistant can't answer not one question correctly. The entire experience was a bad dream which lasted for 7 weeks.

I was told from my first visit that this would be a quick process and should take no more than 2 months and that my initial retainer should cover what I need done.Well,2 years and over $6000 later it IS finally done. Getting a phone call back is like pulling teeth and the secretary at the office is not fit to even clean the bathrooms in the office. The office also sent me a packet of someone else's case which included sexual molestation by certain siblings.This got mailed not only to the court but also to my ex wife and created World War 3 because she thought I was claiming this happened when it was someone else's case entirely.The worst part of the whole experience was in the end.I got an invoice for over $2000 saying it must be paid in full within 5 days or it would go to collections. I emailed the office saying that they have never sent me something like this before and before I could even hit "send" I got an email saying they had charged my card the full amt without ANY CONSENT!!!!

Jodie is extremely unprofessional. She quit the case without warning and charged for email sent when i asked why she quit. At the time she claimed irreconcilable differences because she thought I wasn't being flexible when I had a court document. Then she required a hearing to quit in which she charged me 300 dollars. That day she informed me that she quit because I didnt make a payment. Which I was not aware that I needed to make a payment at the time she quit because I asked and she informed me she was billing me against my 1500 retainer. All of this within a 2 month span. So I try to contact her about my bill and to rehire her and she never return my calls. She should have an accountant or assistants to handle her billing but I think she is a micro manager. A lawyer should not be handling simple billing question. She lost interest in my case when she figured I would lose instead of being an attorney and defending. Its all a game to her, in her own words she told me my case was fun.

WARNING! Do NOT use this Attorney. HORRIBLE at communication. Never returns your phone calls. Turned a friendly divorce into a MESS. WE explained that all we needed was for her to draft up what we agreed too and we would sign. What she drafted up was not what my wife and I agreed too and my wife went nuts. Cost an additional $$$ (her fees of course) to get everything back on track. Just before my divorce was final, I owed her a minor balance. The balance was paid. 2 years later we find out she put a lien on the marital property for that same balance - BUT IT WAS PAID!! SAME MONTH IT WAS DISCUSSED!!! She's absolutely unethical, uncaring and unresponsive to you when you call her back to straighten things out. How she remains in business is beyond me! Best I can do is share my experience and save someone else from this additional stree!

She and lawyers like her are why the profession has such a bad name. Jodie is extremely aggressive but this isn't because she's trying to protect you, it's to create havoc between divorcing parties since this generates fees; her #1 interest. Hospitalized on & off for 1½ months she did not receive a payment so she she slapped a lien on the marital residence to insure she got her $$ She plays on emotions ripe during divorce. She has no problem playing roulette with your life & has no problem being dishonest. Be very careful since you will be the one to pay the price and it won’t only be in $$. She has no regard for the children involved. The animosity she creates between the parents causes irreparable damage to all family members.
Do yourself and your children a favor and find yourself a reasonable, rational, pragmatic attorney - not one that’s gunning for a fight. An amicable divorce can be done for $1,500. Ours cost $30K, a heart attack and lots of ill will.

I was shocked and dismayed that after paying my hard earned cash to this lawyer, she also drop my case. When I went in I was so impressed, but it appears that this is the face she gives just to get you in the door to milk the money from your pocket. She should be reported to the bar association. I am so that with your personality you can do a better job and not take the hard earn cash of people and run. I would not recommend her to a dying ant.

This is by far the worst lawyer I have ever dealt with.She does not return calls or emails unless they pertain to her fees. I poured 2.5k into her within the first month only to be slapped with a 2.2k bill with her instantly. She required instant payment with a threat of quitting the case. She asked for 1k minimum, which I gave her. One week later she asked for a payment plan. I called her rude 19 year old assistant to make the arrangements and explained that in two weeks I would settle the bill. She said that it was fine, so I thought everything was fine. Three days later I received an email that she has dropped the case. There was absolutely no communication leading up to this drop in service. She never responded to any emails or calls. I did exactly as she asked and still she dropped the case. Beyond that Jodie is incredibly unprofessional, her assistant is rude, her appearance is ragged, she is not respected in the courtroom. Hire a better lawyer than Jodie Bassichis.

Beware! You will be required to provide a significant retainer for services, and although she is very aggressive you will soon learn that this same attitude can be directed toward you! She cost me thousands and thousands of dollars, provided minimal progress on my case and I had to find a more competent lawyer with better social skills.
