Worse attorney ever. Never responds to emails, never returns calls, very careless. Not empathetic at all. All these lawyers care about is money. She keeps charging me for false charges. I got an invoice where she broke down the charges. One of the charges was that she had a correspondence with me for an hour. So I emailed her to explain explain charges because I haven't communicated with this lady in over a month. She never returns my call nor emails. She never contacted me back to explain the charges. She just dropped representation of me without even explaining anything. This is by far the worse experience I've ever encountered with a human being. Anyone who is thinking of having this woman represent you,I suggest someone who cares about people and who is empathetic and compassionate towards their situations. Divorce is a tough Era in one's life, to feel even worse when the person representing isn't doing their job adds to the stress.

This doesn't sound like Jodie. She helped my children stay safe, and she went above and beyond in every aspect. She is very busy, but ALWAYS handles my case appropriately

I laugh as I read the comments on here. Jodie has represented me during my divorce and afterwards. In my post divorce, I have had many issues with my ex-wife and my child custody with her. Jodie has helped me get court decisions in my favor. Is she perfect? Maybe yes, maybe no. For my case she was. I continue to use her and I have recommended her two other cases. And both have been happy. Its better to have an aggressive person defending you than a lawyer that does everything. She a divorce attorney and that what you want helping you.

I hired jodie to finalize my divorce, i was a bit iffy because of all the bad rating she had on the internet. but it turns out she is awesome at what she does. she got me exactly what i want from my divorce and my ex- husband was actually pleased as well. she has never giving me a hard time with returning phone calls, emails or answering any of my question, if she could not get back to me in a reasonable time frame, her assistant Karynah took very good care of things. those two women make a great team. I HIGHLY recommend this attorney she is not pricey and works hard for what you want and need THANK YOU Ladies you guys did a terrific job

STOP RIGHT NOW! Save your money and represent yourself you'll do much better Pro Se. The level of professionalism is "0", the level of competence is "0" and communication is "0". All pleadings had huge amounts of errors which I had to mark up for revisions once, twice and still submitted to court with errors. I was informed by the so called legal assistant that the attorney did the pleadings (can't be true) and I was told when I dismissed counsel that I was not charged for correcting the errors lol. I was so embarrassed when I heard from the opposition "where did you find your representative what a joke." Good money poorly spent. Time of court appearance (via phone) all confused and rattled and provided court with incorrect information. What a joke! Please, don't let the free consultation fool you, in fact, do your research unless you don't care. Also, the so called legal assistant can't answer not one question correctly. The entire experience was a bad dream which lasted for 7 weeks.

I was told from my first visit that this would be a quick process and should take no more than 2 months and that my initial retainer should cover what I need done.Well,2 years and over $6000 later it IS finally done. Getting a phone call back is like pulling teeth and the secretary at the office is not fit to even clean the bathrooms in the office. The office also sent me a packet of someone else's case which included sexual molestation by certain siblings.This got mailed not only to the court but also to my ex wife and created World War 3 because she thought I was claiming this happened when it was someone else's case entirely.The worst part of the whole experience was in the end.I got an invoice for over $2000 saying it must be paid in full within 5 days or it would go to collections. I emailed the office saying that they have never sent me something like this before and before I could even hit "send" I got an email saying they had charged my card the full amt without ANY CONSENT!!!!

Jodie is extremely unprofessional. She quit the case without warning and charged for email sent when i asked why she quit. At the time she claimed irreconcilable differences because she thought I wasn't being flexible when I had a court document. Then she required a hearing to quit in which she charged me 300 dollars. That day she informed me that she quit because I didnt make a payment. Which I was not aware that I needed to make a payment at the time she quit because I asked and she informed me she was billing me against my 1500 retainer. All of this within a 2 month span. So I try to contact her about my bill and to rehire her and she never return my calls. She should have an accountant or assistants to handle her billing but I think she is a micro manager. A lawyer should not be handling simple billing question. She lost interest in my case when she figured I would lose instead of being an attorney and defending. Its all a game to her, in her own words she told me my case was fun.

WARNING! Do NOT use this Attorney. HORRIBLE at communication. Never returns your phone calls. Turned a friendly divorce into a MESS. WE explained that all we needed was for her to draft up what we agreed too and we would sign. What she drafted up was not what my wife and I agreed too and my wife went nuts. Cost an additional $$$ (her fees of course) to get everything back on track. Just before my divorce was final, I owed her a minor balance. The balance was paid. 2 years later we find out she put a lien on the marital property for that same balance - BUT IT WAS PAID!! SAME MONTH IT WAS DISCUSSED!!! She's absolutely unethical, uncaring and unresponsive to you when you call her back to straighten things out. How she remains in business is beyond me! Best I can do is share my experience and save someone else from this additional stree!

Beware! You will be required to provide a significant retainer for services, and although she is very aggressive you will soon learn that this same attitude can be directed toward you! She cost me thousands and thousands of dollars, provided minimal progress on my case and I had to find a more competent lawyer with better social skills.
