Worst lawyer ever had and the highest price at $350 hr. Did not do what he said he would do when hired. Was over a hour late to hearing. After the case said he has only won 4 out of 4000 cases like mine. He is rude obnoxious as well as conner refuse to answer questions I asked. New lawyer did what tom said cannot be done.

I have used Tom twice for custody related cases and he is great to work with. He does a great job explaining the process and making sure your expectations for the process/outcome are realistic which is so important. A Judge actually commented that Tom was very good at his job recently in a hearing which is a huge compliment in my opinion. I truly believe Tom is the best guy to use, given I am one of the only people I know who has been truly happy with the outcome of their custody case, and the others I know who aren't as happy did not use Tom and had a completely different experience than I had. Tom works hard and gets results. My outcomes were above and beyond what I hoped for/expected which made the process even more satisfying, and Tom setting realistic expectations was a big part in that. He's also a down to earth guy who is easy to talk to, and that helps. No one wants a lawyer who they don't understand or feel at ease talking to!

Tom Viner recently represented me in my custody modification case for my children. He was absolutely fantastic in every aspect of the very long draining process. Tom was extremely upfront and honest with me regarding the difficulties and expectations he had for the case. He made sure I was knowledgeable about the challenges we would have. I felt very comfortable going to trial knowing I had Tom in my corner. Tom was thoughtful and well prepared. Fortunately, the judges ruling came out in our favor and I give so much credit to Tom Viner and Cassandra.

I came to Tom and Cassandra out of desperation to get my children back dealing with a difficult custody case. If I wouldn’t have been referred to Tom I truly believe I would not have my children back in my care today. I noticed he is very respected in the court room, my previous lawyer was not so I recognized the difference. When I first met him for the free consultation he spent 2 hours talking to me and giving me free advice he did not have to give before I hired him. I feel his pricing is fair and working with his excellent paralegal, Cassandra, cuts the cost down. Anytime I contacted her she was very quick to respond with any questions I had. I highly recommend Viner Law Firm.

We very highly impressed with Tom Viner in his communication and trial skills when we hired him on the spot when we needed him. He kept us in the loop, provided guidance when asked and always felt like he was working diligently for us. There was never a time that we doubted his integrity and will always give his name to anyone needing an attorney. He always made time for us when we needed him. I would recommend highly for his professionalism. He is fair and truthful and helped me through a difficult child custody case that was emotionally charged. Tom was recommended to me by a friend. I live in Waterloo. I sensed a reluctance to travel. The bond hearing was a disaster. I let him go after the hearing. I found him to be cocky and complacent. I feel he has knowledge of law but with no tenacity. As far as work quality, he got papers filed in time. As far as value...I spent considerable money for absolutely no return. I had absolutely no confidence in him.

Tom clearly demonstrated to me that he is an excellent attorney, he was aggressive yet realistic. In my experience he under promised and over delivered on what was a very complex criminal case. Tom acting as my attorney was a very positive experience during a very difficult time. His results were excellent and throughout my case I felt he and his staff genuinely cared about me and my case. Mr. Viner was great to work with, although we only were able to communicate through email and phone calls he was always very helpful, kind, and very compassionate. His knowledge of my sons case and his quality of work was above and beyond what we expected. We were very satisfied with the outcome of his case thanks to Mr. Viner and his staff.

Does not communicate well with clients. Missed deadlines. Waits to long to start paperwork. Needs to prioritize paperwork. When he is on top of it he is good but when he is not is it devastating.

Tom Viner is a nice guy. However, he is a below average attorney and he WILL NOT fight for a client, especially if the judge or prosecutor want blood from the defendant. Like John Jacobsen in his firm, he talks a pretty big game. He just cannot deliver.
