Debbie has clearly earned the reputation she has which is to churn even the most basic family cases to expend far more in legal fees than would be expected. She took a no-fault, non-custody, single home case and was able to drag it out for almost 18 months and in the end, the settlement was basically what we started with except for a $60K legal bill. Information was requested via letters Debbie drafted at her billing rate yet was never used in the case. Much of the information was readily available and should never have been requested in the first place. If you need a family lawyer and want to settle without draining the bank, look elsewhere or be prepared for a lengthy case with legal bills to match. The $300 consultation fee ought to be the tipoff in a family law case.
