Do not, do not hire this guy. Trethewey is a self serving scumbag, womanizer. Unable to perform his job morally, he serves only his own needs and extracts money from clients under false promises..Take the advice of someone who knows first hand, hire someone else and do not leave any female alone in his company.

Avoid Paul Trethewey like the plague. Unpleasant to deal with, refuses to provide information and is dictatorial in style. Does not communicate well, claiming hearing impairment as his excuse but prefers conference calls to emails other than insulting Trump-style tweets. He will cost you an arm and a leg while failing to look after your interests. If you see or hear his name, run in the opposite direction, just as fast as you can.

It you want to add extraordinary costs to your legal bill, have your case dragged on unnecessarily for an extraordinary length of time, and add extraordinary stress to your life during the duration of your case then you should hire Paul Trethewey as your lawyer!

BEWARE of Paul, his style is bark bark bark for no reason. He doesn't work for his clients but only for himself. His system is to gauge as much out of his client's bill and promise a return later. The problem is the end result only favours him and not the client. He'll drag a simple case to the point that it ain't worth it anymore. It happened to me, after years of back and forth, we eventually settled and the offer I had initially received was eventually better than what we settled.

It’s obvious that the two positives reviews were written by Paul himself. The best you can expect in terms of results working with Paul is what you get from a broken clock. It should be correct at least twice a day but with Paul this is not always the case. You will have to search high and low and do not expect to find anyone that could possibly recommend him. Save yourself from the risk and liability of dealing with this guy.

this guy is little more then a flake in a bow tie. he can cost you a lot of money because he is incapable. the problem is that most people that need legal services only fined out what is happening when it is to late.

I have worked with Paul for more than 20 years as my corporate lawyer. From simple things like setting up my first set of Articles to highly complex issues in client contracts, I have found Paul to be thorough, thoughtful, and attentive to what is important. He is highly analytical and has the ability to find the "weak spot" in a business issue that results in favourable negotiations of agreements and reduces the need for unnecessary and costly litigation. His approach is to always look to find a way to make something work. There have been times when he did all the work, other times when he provided advice and support in the background - always operating with my best interests at the forefront. Excellent at identifying risk; plain language drafting and writing style; and bringing sound workable ideas to the table for executive decision making. I recommend Paul for complex business issues, and to work with owner-managed medium sized enterprises.

He would promise anything to client even in areas where he has poor knowledge. He makes case very complicated and expensive, but never finishes it. I know few of his clients, including myself: none of us got anything delivered, but we all are broke.
