We had hired Weir Bowen for defense against an injuries lawsuit. Our lawyer went on leave and we were given Shelagh Lumsden as replacement lawyer. Originally we they were doing our case pro-bono, but then Shelagh said she doesn't work for free. We constantly had to remind her what our course of action was going to be (what the FIRST lawyer said it would be), she didn't know anything about our case even though she had all of our files, and whenever we brought up something she was quick to dismiss it ("No") instead of listen to us and lift any finger to find out. It was like she was working for the plaintiff... long story short, we fired her and are now dealing with this issue on our own.
