I could not agree more with the previous reviews here. Amy Demma is a shrewd salesperson and I was sure that I made the right choice in choosing to work with her. Unfortunately, a very standard agreement that would have taken the other attorney that we'd considered two weeks took Attorney Demma four months to complete. The emotional distress and time wasted chasing after her far exceeded even our money spent. This was a truly horrendous experience. I do not recommend entrusting Amy Demma with issues as personal and important as those that fall within reproductive law.

This is a response to the 3/17/19 feedback. We are former clients and are sorry to hear this happened to you. We also were treated poorly and our needs were not served. You can report your experience to the NY State Grievance Committee, at 631-231-3775. They issued her a reprimand. It is sad to see that her incompetence continues. We hope the 2nd lawyer you hired completed the work and represented your needs.

Until hiring her, we would not have believed these other reviews because she was so good.
However, after hiring her, we 100% agree with and echo the sentiments of these reviews - despite being a few years old. Obviously there’s a pattern with her work ethic and style.
A process that should have taken (approx) 10 days was not complete after 2 months, her communication was terrible - not just slow but defensive when asked specific questions about the contract that were relevant and needed answers.
In the end, and after feeling taken advantage of, we fired her and hired a new lawyer.

My partner's RE was not happy with this attorney's interference regarding medication protocol. Per our experience and the doctor's perspective, Demma was incompetent, unethical, and caused unnecessary duress.

Unresponsive once she has secured your business. Excellent saleswoman and speaker, poor practitioner. Dispensed medical advice against will of my doctor. Absolutely the worst communicator I have ever dealth with in context of professional relationship. Why would you want to hire an attorney who does not communicate effectively?
