Hi Mark and Sophia,
Mark, I want to express my deep gratitude for your exceptional work and dedication. Your approach and efforts led the College to drop the case, even when they were considering a probable accusation, not just a decision of not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
This isn’t about the financial aspect—it's about your unique approach and full commitment to the case. I've never seen a lawyer who takes on a case as personally and passionately as you do, as though you were the one being accused.

I have dealt with lawyers daily in my business career for 25+ years. Never have I met a lawyer with the compassion and tenacity of Mark Ertel. Mark Ertel is the best lawyer I have seen and you can tell he cares about his clients by the way he performed in the court room, anytime I would call or txt him he would always answer and he always kept me thinking positive. I wish I had him on my case from the beginning as it would have been over a long time ago but mark won it in a few months after other lawyers lost for 3 years . When we first met Mark Ertel, we knew he was the one who’ll solve all our legal issues. He told us “Leave it to me”, and so did we without any hesitation. At the end, we could have the desired positive outcome as promised. Mark is incredibly smart with excellent judgment and management skills. I would like to thank Mark Ertel for beating a drug trafficking/proceeds-of-crime case for me today. I was very impressed at his cross-examination of the two officers involved in my arrest, during trial. Like a surgeon, Mr. Ertel dissected everything, absolutely destroying their credibility and exposing the rotten flaws in their case. It was fun to watch both officers so stunned and at a loss for words each time under cross-examination by Mr. Ertel. Both officers were experiencing a real-life nightmare, sweating and their faces tomato red. I've dealt with many lawyers(not just criminal)in my life. No one compares to Mark not even close. I am very picky when it comes to lawyers, and before Mark I fired a very prominent lawyer. I first met Mark in his office. He was cool,loud and not your typical lawyer. I liked him. But liking someone doesn't insure victory. So I had to see him in action. When my trial finally began we had a lot of ups and down and a main coaccused who was selfrepresented. I was not feeling confident in this court room. Mark became Tom Brady for our team. My co accused defending himself, Mark guided through the whole process. I took the stand for us, Mark told me the structure of how to tell our story, it was epic and the jury was crying for us. He knows people and how to speak. He made my family feel so comfortable. Himself in a courtroom is just epic to watch. He also finds all the loopholes and slipsups. It was amazing we beat the case and avoided a life sentence. He brought the truth out. #1 in Canada

I recently used Mark for the first time, he seemed confident and knowledgeable about the law. The case I was involved in was a serious case, but he was able to assure me a win. I was going through the legal system for the first time on behalf of my son. Mark is a compassionate listener, ensures you are aware of all options and came through for us. I should say that I left another Ottawa lawyer mid way through this to join Mark. He came highly recommended by a highly regarded lawyer in another field whom I knew well. Mr. Ertel came highly recommended by an Employment Attorney I worked with. From the very first discussion, Mark offered his calm voice of reason. To remove me from the matrimonial home my ex wife pulled a "911 Divorce" play in which she falsely alleged 3 incidents of domestic violence. Real nice! Mark only ever focused on the facts. The Attorney - Client relationship I experienced was efficient and effective. It took some getting used to, but I soon understood Mark asks the questions and he doesn't want a lengthy discussion; just essential details. He's very, very good at uncovering evidence that will benefit the defendant. In court, he exceeded my expectations. His cross examination of my ex wife unraveled the truth so thoroughly, the Crown didn't bother conducting a re-examination! I recommend Mark Ertel to anyone that needs a fighter in their corner.

He was way too busy with my case. Heard good reviews of this guy. Had family rec this guy, so I thought I would give him a try. Said he could fight my case but afterwards after a year, he tried to convince me to plea guilty and didn't give me too much hope to fight the case. There was a few questions I asked about my case and he didn't know and said he would get back and never did. Didn't try too hard in the court when the attorney was bashing me, he didn't seem to want to defend me.

3 x drug trafficing charges and 3 x possession, following a undercover operation by the police. He was fair, great communication, anwsered all my questions. He was by far one of the best lawyers Ive had. He isnt cheap, but you pay for his experience. After all was said in done, I got a $1500 fine, no probation. Thankfully I learned my lesson and didnt return to that lifestyle, but if I had, his number would be speeddial #1.

One of the most decent human beings.I was very frightened, very scared and from the moment I met Mr Ertel I felt everything was going to be allright. I told him my wishes and he followed through with what I wanted.He doesnt always tell you everything thats going on but a good attorney doesnt give away all their secrets. He didnt let me be harrassed, he didnt let me be unsafe he became a light in a very dark corner. First thing I have to say is thank you to Mark Ertel. Mark is the best lawyer money can buy. He is the best of the best. I was charged last year with 4 different charges and Mark did what he does best. He defended me using his extreme knowledge in criminal law and experience. At one point during the trial he was fighting like he was on the stand he's that good. He doesn't back down from no body and doesn't allow anyone to step on his toes. Because of Mark Ertel I was acquitted from all criminal charges and I am a free man. He has demonstrated how knowlageble he is in criminal law and I was very impressed with his knowledge.
