There are two main points that I look for with an attorney/client relationship - honest billing and quality work. This attorney fails on both counts.
There was not one document that he sent to the courts on my behalf that did not contain errors. Some even had the incorrect Plaintiff name. It was embarrassing and a true indication that he was not detail-oriented or even focused on my case.
When he was fired, he decided to back-bill a MUCH higher rate than agreed upon and then held my files hostage when I would not pay the arbitrary amount. When we questioned the bill he said that he "could charge anything he wanted".
If extortion for additional money and sloppy work are not enough to deter you, you might also want to check out his arrest records (yes, there are more than one) and his history with the courts as a Defendant. I cannot believe that the Bar does not track those things, but it is a lesson well-learned.
