Ms. Levine took the time initially to meet with me and talk through my case, which was not a bankruptcy. It became clear through the process of developing the case that she was incapable of handling my situation. She missed filing deadlines, submitted incorrect documents, and even sent her clerk to represent me at one of my appearances.
She also failed to return many phone calls, didn't follow through on action items, and a couple weeks prior to my final court appearance, didn't bother to show up for a meeting we had scheduled. I ended up hiring a different attorney, who handled my case professionally and accurately. I have asked Debra Levine for the remainder of my retainer back, but she has yet to comply, despite agreeing to refund my money.

I do not know who goes to the trouble of posting reviews on the internet, but if they really wanted to get attention, they should call me. I can always be reached at 312-259-5970. Unfortunately, happy clients do not file anything, and I have represented more than one thousand.

Debra Levine is no longer capable of maintaining/running a practice. I met with her in January of 2014 and retained the firm to represent me in a family law matter. To date, Ms. Levine has failed to uphold the agreement we signed, she is not accessible via phone/email and does not respond to messages left with reception. She showed up to court 45 minutes late, clearly intoxicated/incapacitated and unprepared (blamed her staff). She also missed the following court date completely. I have requested an invoice as well as the remaining retainer which she is yet to provide. She does not put the needs of her clients above her own and continuously makes excuses for her inability to do her job.

I hired Debra Levine to file a bankruptcy case for myself. . During the meeting Ms. Levine informed me of my rights, she also informed me of what she would do to save my assets.
I hired Ms. Levine.This was the biggest mistake of my life.Ms.Levine repeatedly filed incorrect schedules and at one court date she was reprimanded by the judge regarding a deadline that she missed pertaining to my filing. Ms.Levine never used the plan she presented to me.
Ms. Levine would not accept my calls to answer questions and she would have one of her assistants (who I do not think are paralegals) to call back to ask what you called about. After a day or so the assistant would call back and relay the answer to the question. I thought this was very unprofessional. After months of dealing with the nonsense I decided that it would be in my best interest to hire a new attorney.
