My experience with Michael was for a landlord tenant dispute that also involved an incompetent property manager. Michael asked for all the relevant info to be sent ahead of time and I was absolutely floored that he had actually read it all and had a good handle on the case by the time I met with him. That one meeting (which is all he charged me for) was entirely him giving me really great advice on how to proceed, what I could expect at a tribunal hearing, and to answer any questions I had. He advised me that while I could hire him to represent me, this would be the pricy option and gave me what I needed to proceed on my own. While he noted that my chances of winning were slim his advice enabled me to prepare well enough to take advantage of an unforseen circumstance during the hearing to win my case. This is the only time I have ever dealt with a lawyer that handled the intake process so well and was prepared to make that intial 1 hour meeting an actual worthwhile consultation.

My daughter was in Ottawa for College and this was her first time away from home. We thought she had found a nice landlord but it was a nightmare. Mr. Thiele told us right away how to deal with the problem and he got her out of her lease, a refund and moving costs very quickly. I didn't realize how amazing this was until I spoke with other friends and told them what happened.

Hired him for my car accident injury as he advertises as a personal injury lawyer. He just passed me over to his junior lawyer to do all the work! When I changed to a new firm, I was told that he is just a landlord tenant board lawyer and doesnt even do car accidents. What a joke, don't waste your time with this fake.

I heard he was an expert and had to wait to get him as my lawyer--I changed from another lawyer. Mike did exactly what I needed and it was just perfect. I felt totally at ease with him, he answered all of my questions and best of all explained our (my) strategy to me so I had a sense of how we were going to get what I needed. This made me feel very confident and I didn't worry so much about the process.

Landlord tenant specialist. Nice man. Bad lawyer. Accomplished nothing. Charged a fortune.
