I question this man's ethics. (I grew up with a lawyer in the family so I have an idea regarding proper legal practices?) We are on the other side being represented by another lawyer. We have had several run-ins with this man. He is also has a nasty and unbusinesslike manner on the phone. He will take any case...minor ones where he should be advising the client that if they must, they should take it themselves to small claims. He pulls the oldest trick in the book and takes a frivolous matter to Queens Bench in an attempt to force a settlement. I'd advise you find someone else.

He is a really snake in the grass. Gives you less then a month to pay your statement of account then files to take you to court. You give your trust in these lawyers that they will be ethical then if they know there’s money will have their whole team work on your case to bleed you dry then say it’s “just business” no Mr Moss being ethical is called good business not how you treat people.

Ever notice that bad experiences are most often the ones documented on these sites (and one sided - I might ad.). A good lawyer 'experience' is rarely noted. So, with the 3 unhappy clients, this lawyer hardly needs to worry about his reputation, being that he see's seveal hundred clients per year. And most positive reviews are prompted by the law offices anyway, so - no worries, Peter is solid. GerryH

I have to agree with the others. No communication, but the bills sure keep coming. Every 'move' I ask about to try and get the other party to respond was ignored, and the 'wait and see' attitude got expensive with nothing resolved. Try someone else, and save yourself money and grief.

i agree with the other person. bad lawyer, he advise me he had been threw divorce and custody himself. this made me trust him at 1st however he just sat on case. He gets Karen Burwash to do all the work. He like to yell if I didn't agree with him. Very rude. He gives lawyers a bad name

Bad, bad, bad. Did nothing for clients, ethics lacking, convictions are negative and approch is to "wait and see". His attitude toward the case was that it may just blow over, so nothing was done. He told us to not worry about it (being frivolously sued) and expected us to put up with being harrassed by another lawyer. His beliefs that lawyers should not be expected to act in upstanding ways conserned me a lot and the whole situation was treated as if it was a joke. I did not get a good feeling or feel confident in him so did some research and found some very disconserting information on him. See the two articles of "fight the Power" re: 'Chapil v Moss' and 'Law Society of Manitoba'. Also, see simmilar ratings on his protege, Karen Burwash, which can be applied fairly to Moss as well. Luckily, it was noticed in time and there was not too much money invested in him. I now have a much better, and cheaper, lawyer at a big and REPUTABLE firm. BEWARE!! RUN LIKE HELL!!! NOT GOOD!
