I engaged the services of Maya Shulman to represent me in a divorce proceeding initiated by my husband. In the six months of her representation of me, she was paid a total of $11,400.00.
At no time during her representation did she ever present me with a legal strategy. I also never felt she was my advocate. She always told me my case was weak, without giving me options. Finally, she abruptly informed me I was NOT entitled to any money from my seven year marriage.
It wasn’t until I discharged Ms. Shulman, and procured other legal counsel, that I was made aware of the unprofessional representation I had received from her.
Here is what she never attempted, and what my new lawyer was able to accomplish:
Temporary spousal support.
Assistance with my Attorney Fees.
Moore Marsden Calculation on our house, which established a substantial amount of money for me. At NO time did Maya Shulman ever inform me of this established law practice.

I do not recommend this attorney to anyone and especially if you have a complicated matter, regarding your children. STAY AWAY from this attorney. She is lazy, dishonest, unprofessional, and immoral. She is all about money, nothing about justice. She is a part of prestige firm, but she is nothing as a lawyer
