I contacted Mr. Ruggles by phone first to ask if he was knowledgeable in contract law, specifically a noncompete contract. I explained that my husband was contemplating a job offer with a new employer & we had concerns as to how this would be affected by a noncompete contract between my husband and his current employer. Mr. Ruggles assured me that he was well versed in this area & to bring the contract in. I brought the contract in & after a couple of days he called me to say that I could come in. I went to his office & was given a stack of photo copies of pages from a law book. At that point mr. Ruggles "legal advice" was that we should seek legal advice from the company offering my husband a position's attorney. He stated that he could not tell us if my husband could take this offered position while under the noncompete contract with the current employer. Mr. Ruggles then billed us over $400 & filed a lien on our house when we refused to pay for services NOT rendered!
