This "lawyer" did not give me my entire CAS file. I missed on important video that my child was expressing herself in. This ruined my entire case and cost me thousands of dollars. I will bring this up to the judge and Attorney General. She is going to be sued

This lawyer is not fully competent and her assistant is rude and unprofessional. They are interested in delaying matters and do not care for my daughter, they are not truth seekers.

Ms. Vandenburg represented my matter almost 2 years into the proceedings. Our matter was considered high-conflict and involved custody, access, and support. The other party was self-represented and also extremely difficult to work with. She and her assistant were always accessible and responsive to my concerns. She is attentive, sharp and highly intelligent and was quick to see through all the BS that had been filed over the preceding 2 years. Mostly, she cared about my case and represented our interests to my full satisfaction. She provided sound legal advice that was sometimes not what I wanted to hear. Thanks to her advice throughout the process, we were able to finally close this case! She saved me A LOT of mental and financial response in the end. You should choose her if you're able to set aside your ego and focus on best interests of your child(ren), in need of a lawyer who really knows and UNDERSTANDS family law and how to apply it. Knows how to communicate to decision-makers.

Ms Vandenberg is a powerful , strong, tough gladiator. I went to her with a mess and she has provided exceptional service to get me on track. My family is in a better situation and on our way towards the end of a difficult separation and divorce. Ms Vandenberg has explained the process and had great patience doing so. I would recommend her to anyone who is in need of legal services.

Have known Ms Vandenberg and her work for more than 30 years. She has tremendous knowledge in her field and cares deeply for her clients. While divorce is always difficult for both sides, Ms Vandenberg's capabilities are strong and trustworthy and will help alleviate your stress. You are in excellent hands with her.

I am with no hesitation to refer people to jennifer. She is truley amazing as het assistant cindy is great. I have been working with jennifer on and off for about 4 years. She got me everything i asked for was very patient,undersstandingg and works very hard to do whats in the best interest of her client . Very patient i have noticed that sometimes things we dont always want to do or dont feel comfortable but the choices she made was the best ones that i could have never forseen .she and hsr team are simply amazing id use her over and over no second thoughts

She took a very difficult case and was able to resolve it quickly and with a far better outcome than Id even expect! She has an amazing knowledge on how the legal system works and will not spend your time trying to BS you! She will not pat you in the back and give you false hopes just to make you pay for more, she will tell you what your REALISTIC chances are, and by doing that she saves you both money, time and hassle. Some people don't like the direct approach, but ohh well... The only people who might complain are the ones who expect a lawyer to be a baby sitter or want a lawyer to give them false hopes, and trust me, Ive seen them too. She will give you a straight answer, takes the direct approach and although some might not like it, it saves you time and hassle. I recommend her to anyone, the BEST lawyer in Hamilton by far! ps.: was not even expecting to get anything, would be happy to have my legal fees paid for, but she got me a GREAT deal, and better of all, hassle free!!!

The one thing that really impressed me about Jennifer was how well received she was by the Judges and her colleagues in the court room. My case proceeded smoothly and quickly through the system without all the garbage and fuss that I feared, having listened to others who have gone through the court process. Thankfully, her attitude was a "no nonsense" one and it was clear that her experience and calm attitude carried the day.If you want the least painful experience possible, choose this lawyer.

This lawyer would not try to work things out without going to court . She racked up my bill by taking every issue to court even when she knowingly lies about trivial things . She said my ex took 10,000 out of our account she had all the back records to prove this I even told her my ex didn't the 10,000 was on the following statement page . I paid this women to go to court for this .I was unaware she would still bring up this issue when we were in court . She also made a mess of my fro case so bad I've been working with fro for a year to fix all the mistakes . She charged me way too much money she's a crook for faking a fight in court to rack up her bill . No morals at all . As for the kids . She pushed me to sign away costdy . I Fred her right there dam waste of money ... It's a shame she would deal with my x lawyer . I hired another lawyer . We resolved everything with out once going to court . That cost was was way less then mis vandenburg .

I attended at her office feeling I had no Hope and would lose everything. Jennifer explained and reassured that I would come up on top. In the end she got me exclusive possession of my home for me and my children. My ex had to pay support and run his share of the house till it was sold. My ex makes alot of money and I was a stay at home for most of our marriage, I was worried I'd lose the children to him but OCL deemed children were better off with me. I have Jennifer to thank as she pushed for the Office of the Children's Lawyer.

Come on...none of these positive reviews are from actual clients. She is writing these herself. No one I spoke to after I fired her as my lawyer has had anything good to say about her. Not even my new current lawyer. She was rude, had no confidence in herself and was so unprofessional. Glad it didn't take me long to figure this out.

Jennifer and her staff were absolutely amazing towards me. She gave me some very straight forward advice which in the end will save me months, if not years in the court process. Even her staff was exceptionally knowledgeable in procedural matters and did an amazing job for me beyond what I have experienced from other lawyers. Some of her advice included what an 'enforcement action' really consisted of. In that regard she was more concerned for the welfare of my children. The sounds logical advice I desperately needed.

Worst lawyer ever! Jennifer vandenberg was my lawyer,..when leaving messages to her office, I would never get a call back, either she wasn't getting messages or just not responding back (when it was concerning serious matters) I would only see her at court, I found that I was doing most of the leg work, every time the other party would lie, I would prove them wrong with documents,text mess, affidavits etc. when doing paper work with her secretary she kept getting everything wrong, times, days, names etc. took me an hour just to do corrections with her, my biggest complaint though is I'm on legal aid, Jennifer vandenberg served me papers a week before trial, saying she is no longer going to represent me, called legal aid, long story short I got denied after I appealed it, her dismissal was for, None communication, Are you serious! Have proof that I have tried to contact her by email, Jennifer vandenberg "quit" knowing I can't get another lawyer.

Jennifer was recommended to me by a friend. As my situation was eerily similar I didn't even look at anyone else. Jennifer understands the law and how it applies to my very difficult case and helped point me in the right direction with regards to fight for and let go of. This has been a very emotionally charged case and she has successfully represented my needs and views in a professional manner.

Jennifer was a no nonsense lawyer who gave me very helpful and straightforward advice at a time when I needed non-sugar coated answers to some very difficult questions. Jennifer was well prepared for all of our court appearances. Her comments were well received by each judge and I felt very comfortable with her representation of me. Wouldn't want to go through this procedure again, but if I had to, I wouldn't hesitate to call on Jennifer and re-hire her!

I found Jennifer to be pleasant enough and knowledgeable re divorce in Ontario; however very unassertive and if it does fall within the written word of the law you end up pushing the matter with the other party yourself. I don't mean illegally pushing, I mean if you want to make an offer and it is less than what the courts printed document says, she was not willing to make the offer as courts would deny. It turns out the deal was accepted at my doing, did not go to court and basically all that ended up being done by her office was the required paperwork. The bill for this was high for what I feel was done by her and her office.

This lawyer pumped up her ratings by rating herself. All those 5's were completed by her friends. Don't be fooled. No one would recommend her. I am currently going to trial with my ex and this lawyers conduct and criminal activity will be brought to light. I'm going to be asking the judge to order this lawyer to pay me 100,000 in compensatory damages.

I got Jennifer's name through a referral service, and I did not know what to expect, but she EXCEEDED my expectations, and I had a wonderful experience having her as my laywer. Do not hesitate at all to call her-- she is excellent!

This was my ex-common law spouses lawyer. She is completely incompetent and a criminal. I offered complete child support, zero spousal support and her 2/3 of the assets. It was a sweet deal offered by me to her because I wanted to move on. Instead this lawyer convinced her client to go after everything including spousal support. She got an incompetent judge to agree to 500 per mont spousal support plus retro 300 child support plus she had 200K, 45K in trust and I had zero. I got hold of that spousal support calculator and proved spousal support was zero yet she did nothing until trial was coming up 6 months later. (this is criminal activity - knowing you are wrong and not rectifying it) Bottom line? I got the 45K from trust, an additional 40K plus she still owes me another 25K, spousal support $1 per month. I figure it cost me 150K in lost investment earnings and lawyers fees. All for nothing. If anyone uses this lawyer, this is what you are going to get.
