Unfortunately I din't have a stellar experience in working with Michael Lawrence, I didn't feel that he devoted the proper level of attention to my case.
1. He was texting and preparing for another case while we were in front of the commissioner.
2. He asked me if I had the documentation while we were at court. He wasn't prepared.
3. He quoted information back to me as if I had said it. "you said this, you said that." which I had not.
4. I had an active retainer (paid up and money in the pot), but since I had become unemployed and didn't own property he dropped me as a client.
Well, I think I'm grateful that I didn't continue. You may have a different experience. I just recommend that you ask him to pay attention to your case and focus on your needs if you do hire him and not allow multi-tasking.

A good paper shuffler bills outrageously for services. He was very disappointing. He essentially based my case on one key question he thought was important, then dropped the ball on it. He disregarded my questions and concerns and made me stay quite at the hearing. Great loss for me, great gain Financially for him. In an other case, He advised me to plead guilty and take a plea in abeyance for a charge I was in no way guilty of and it would be dismissed in twelve months and nothing more would become of it, because I had already spent so much money on the first case. He was right in nothing more becoming of it, in one respect, he didn't follow up on the paper work to have it dismissed and it stayed on my record for 5 years rather than 1 year. When I found out it was still on my record I had to have him then do the paper work to have it dismissed, I asked for a copy and was told I would have to get it from the court. I asked for the total amount paid to him,it was denied.

We hired C. Michael Lawrence from Taylorsville, UT to help us with a lawsuit brought against us. We were advised by an Atty friend on how to proceed and why. We relayed this to Mr. Lawrence and he agreed. We wrote up the answers accordingly with his paralegal only to find later that he had changed it without our knowledge and charged us for it. That change effectively altered the case and the outcome. We terminated his services and a few days later he sent us a letter saying he no longer represented us and charged us for it. He is all about dragging out cases to make more money. He lied in court and made ridiculous accusations in order to curry favor from the judge. He lied about things that happened, made up things that did not happen and denied any wrongdoing. He also threatened me in mediation. It was reported to the bailiff by the mediator and a police report was made. The case could and should have been dismissed but he found he could make more money if it dragged out. RUN!
