Everyone knows that in family court your lawyer can't be a miracle worker. But trust is of the utmost importance. My experience in court was horrible, simply because she forgot everything she was supposed to address. I have never seen someone so ill prepared. While mediating with the defendants attorney she failed to discuss any of the primary issues we had prepared for, as if she didn't remember what case she was working on. In fact she didn't find it necessary to meet in person after our initial consult, just phone and email correspondence. I was so in shock afterwards I called to address what she had done the day of court and she refused to speak with me, only text messages. It was never resolved and I ultimately lost my easy opportunity for resolution for my case. I had to visit another lawyer shortly after this to revisit her mistakes, this lawyer could not believe what had occurred. It was such a disappointment to trust someone and have them fail you with no accountability.
