Stephen represented my ex wife. I know it's a little unorthodox to recommend opposing council but i gotta give credit where it's due and he's a good lawyer. I only wish I retained him before my ex wife did! I send him to my friends so they can benefit from Stephen's service. He's very prompt on the replies and is a bull dog. Rick Horsland.

hired Stephen to help my spouse and I through a mediation. He was recommended by my spouses lawyer to help us through this. reviews had him ranked very high. after my initial one on one with him there were some redflags for me because stephen didn't ask alot of questions about myself or my side of the story. I went through with the mediation and unfortunatly did not come to an aggreement. seemed as though stephen had been coached to help my spouse but not me at all. seemed more like an ambush then anything. I took shots from him and my spouse for 4 hrs struggling through with no help from him at all. He is good at math and calculating make belief numbers. more of an arbitrator then mediator. made our situation much worse. stay away!!!

Absolutely one of the best family lawyers in B.C.!!! Extremely professional, organized, efficient, punctual, articulate, and vastly knowledgeable. Understands law at a level that defys comparison from other lawyers, and is highly respected in the courts as he is a QC. Stephen cares about his clients and the families effected and understands the challenges and emotions that comes with divorce. If your fortunate enough to retain him, your life through this highly controversial and stressful journey through divorce will be better and your best interests will be at the forefront.

Give this guy a wide berth. We used him for mediation and he actually sabotaged the agreement by adding a clause that my wife and I did not agree too. He charged me for an hour that was spent mostly talking about my hobby which interested him. My wife set up the mediation with him and the end agreement was all in her favor. He told us that it would cost about $1200 for the mediation but failed to mention that that was for each of us.I went into mediation thinking that my wife and I would draft a fair and equitable agreement using his knowledge and experience as a guide. I still do not know what his mandate was but it sure was not to help us reach a fair settlement.
