Summer Shelton moved on from her practice and is now in Draper. She has a temper, a short memory, no attention to detail, and has a tendency to not tell the truth while making herself out to be a victim.

I hired Summer to help me with a DUI. She didn't cost as much as some others but I saw I paid for what I got. She wouldn't return phone calls or emails. She kept moving my court date without asking me or telling me why she was moving it so it dragged my case out way longer than it should have been. She was never on time to our meetings or on time with my court date when we finally showed up with the judge. At my court date, she was more interested in laughing it up with the cops and the prosecutor than with my case. Whenever I had questions she was rude and seemed like she was put out by talking about my case or if I would go to jail or be able to do community service. She outright lied to me about what the prosecutor said about my case, so I ended up with a much bigger fine and jail time. Do yourself a favor and hire someone who won't take your money and do almost nothing in return.

Summer was late to every one of my hearings. She was not professional at all. Her fee is out of control high. She is buddy buddy with the prosecuting attorneys which I think worked against my favor. Not to mention the judge was pissed about her being late. She didn't try to get me a deal at all, nor did she give me many options with my case. I would not ever recommend her to anyone.

The fact that she wont return phone calls in a timely manner,if at all,is very disorganized, does NOT keep her clients informed of very important issues, and if that isn't enough she cant even keep the courts informed of her current address. I could go on with many other shortcomings!!

I hired Summer to represent me in a criminal matter, and my experience could not be further from the other two reviews on this site. Summer came highly recommended by two other local, well-known criminal defense attorneys, and the recommendation served me well. Summer has an excellent relationship with the prosecutors and law enforcement, which led to my out-of-this-world plea deal, which would have otherwise landed me in prison. She was very timely in communicating with me, her fee was lower than three other lawyers and slightly higher than one, and she has an obvious mastery of her area of the law (criminal). Given that my life and freedom were on the line, I wouldn't go with someone who was anything but the best, and I got that with Summer. I could not recommend her more highly. She quite literally saved my life!
