4/29/14   1     1     1     1     1   I hired him, too and he cashed the check & went to court 1 time and did nothing and when it was time to proceed somehow with the case he acted like I was stupid for asking him what's next as if he had already washed his hands. I asked his opinion of what to do now & he said you'll have to think about it; give me more money and get back w/ me. AMAZING! No eagerness to help only get hired and paid. Go somewhere else!!! Click to report rating    2/9/09   1     1     1     1     1   Ken Raney was incompetent and unprepared in court. He was so bad it was embarrassing. He lost my case on a Summary Judgment ruling because he was completely unprepared. As a litigator, he was completely incompetent on his feet in court. Had he been the least bit prepared for oral arguments at the hearing (he had opposing council's brief in advance with plenty of time to prepare) we would have secured a court date for a jury trial. He cited no case law and gave the judge no legal basis to defeat opposing counsel's motion. He barely even spoke. He could have only been worse if he had stood there mute. There was solid legal basis for the judge to find in my favor and defeat opposing council's motion, but a judge can't do that if no fact-based argument rooted in the law is given. Apparently he took my case thinking there would be an easy settlement without any real work on his part. Beware. RID: 15663
