The contract we originally signed was badly written, unspecific. He barely read it, telling me that it doesn't get interesting until closing, and that's when he jumps in. Later, we found out that the sellers are fighting with each other over who really has interest in the home. Mike refused to draw up papers that the all the sellers would sign relinquishing any interest in the home after selling the home to me. If they must fight with each other, they can fight over the money I agreed to pay for the property. My house should be free and clear. Mike refused to draw up the papers and said that any seller wasn't likely to sign such a document. When I presented my reasons for insisting, he refused again, and told me I would be better off with another lawyer. I agree.
