2 years ago I filed Chapt 13 Bankruptcy with Dorothy, mainlyso I could end a big 2nd mortgage (nearly $250K) & save our home from foreclosure. With foreclosure, my mother in her wheelchair would have been in the street.
I don’t earn so much, & Dorothy said I could afford the mortgage only was if everyone paid rent. It was hard to ask my kids to pay to live at their home, but Dorothy talked to them for me. So today, Dorothy sends email to me & she. says ““why you get tax refund, it’s just money you throw away?” She says I can get $12 more each week in paycheck -not alot of money, but a lot to me. For $12 my mom can get her nails or I can cook her special meal on holy days. Out of nowher Dorothy notices I shouldn’t lose this money, understands that extra $12 will help me out, & tell what to do to keep this money.
We are immigrants and I do no have any other experience with American legal system. My attorney Dorothy Bunce has treated me with kindness & respect for my culture.
