Absolutely horrible. Took our money and ran. After not hearing from him, I got a notification in the mail (from the OTHER party's lawyer) saying Steve Lapham had been suspended from practicing law. So now it looks like we're going to have to file a civil suit against him to get our $2K back. What a joke.

I am another person Mr. lapham took my money and my documents and did nothing but has kept the money and documents so I could not persue any other Lawyer.This man sould be stopped. I have reported him to SC Bar Assoc.

MR.LAPHAM IS A VERY DETERMINED LAWYER. HE WILL FIGHT FOR YOU TO THE END. WE WERE LOOKING FOR A BAD DAY IN COURT BUT HE FOUGHT HARD AND TALKED SO GOOD FOR US.IF ANYONE OUT THERE NEEDS A CARING AND DETERMINED LAWYER STEVEN LAPHAM IS YOUR LAWYER.

My,comment about this so called lawyer is the same post as the person who posted on 5/29/2012,He took my money and hasen't done any thing or return my documents.Has a different story any time you get to talk to him,Called the bar and the BBB,BEWARE ALL U HARD WORKING PEOPLE/ WILL TAKE UR MONY AND RUN

This attorney Took my money and never filed not one piece of paperwork. He took my documents and never returned them as well. This has been three months now and not one phone call as to why he stole this money and ran. I reported this attorny to the bar association and to the BBB... BEWARE also found out he told several people in common about my case and word got back to me about this.

Mr. Lapham has always kept in touch with me in a timely manner regarding my case and always taken the time to explain things to me in a way I can understand. He has gone above and beyond in comparison to other attorneys! He is genuinely concerned about the welfare of his client and it shows when you consult with him.

It has been 9 weeks since I paid Mr.Lapham to do a very simple uncontested divorce and as of today he refuses to give me my money back or file my divorce. I've had to contact the bar and file a complaint and I now have to file a civil suit against him. Beware!!
