My experience with Attorney Abramian was nothing short of frustrating and financially draining. From the start, it became apparent that most of the actual work on my case was being handled by her receptionist or administrative staff — yet I was billed at an outrageous rate of $450 per hour, as if she personally performed every task. It felt like I was paying premium legal fees for $20/hour clerical work.
To make matters worse, instead of working toward a reasonable resolution, Abramian continuously escalated the conflict by making unrealistic and confrontational demands that she knew the opposing party would never agree to. This only served to prolong the case unnecessarily, benefiting no one but her own billing hours.
The quality of legal service I received was far below what I expected from someone charging such exorbitant fees. If you're looking for an attorney who actually brings value, efficiency, and professionalism to your case — I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Alexandra is a force! She is super smart and can assess the situation pretty quickly. Yes, she is super expensive and you are just paying high for her high quality knowledge. She will go above and beyond to fight for her client. She is exceptional when working with domestic violence cases. She can see right through the image of a "good guy" and expose them in the court. I got sole custody for my child because of her. She fought hard.

Alexandra Abramiain is an expert in unethical manipulation of billable hours through the creation of artificial conflicts.
From the outset, it was evident that Alexandra Abramian and to a lesser extent her secretary Brigitta Tseitlin were more interested in manufacturing conflict than in pursuing a fair and reasonable resolution to my legal matter. Instead of fostering open communication and collaboration, Alexandra Abramian consistently created unnecessary disputes, escalating tensions that only served to prolong the legal process and increase costs.
I strongly advise anyone considering legal representation to steer clear of Alexandra Abramian. The lack of professionalism, the propensity for manufacturing conflict, and the disregard for the client's best interests make this lawyer an unreliable and unsuitable choice for legal matters.

Think twice before going to her office.
It all starts with the fact that they promise you everything, then they ask you to write some lie in the affidavit so that the matter looks better, and if the truth comes out, it was you who lied, not them.
Your ex won't settle after your lies, and your legal bill will continue to rise. You can't even change lawyers, because after you build your case on a lie, no one else will take you.
Beware of frequent recommendations from this office about falsely accusing your ex in the police. It might help your family case at first, but will bankrupt you 10 times more in civil or criminal court for a false accusation.
If you are already her client, work only on an advance payment, otherwise the capital in your house will disappear even faster. Never leave in trust a share of the sale of the matrimonial home - they will do everything to stretch your business.
Document everything and file a complaint with the LSO as soon as she breaks the rules.

She will drag on a case for as long as possible. She gives bad advice to her clients. I would highly suggest to stay away from her. I'm surprised she hasn't gotten her license taken away. I heard stories from other people who had experience with her, that she will send anonymous letters to people you know just to try and ruin your reputation out of spite. She does not care about helping her clients win.

Ms. Abramian is a very knowledgable, intelligent lawyer who gives very good advice. However, her reputation with judges overshadows any good qualities that she possesses. There should be a way that Ms Abramian can redeem herself again in the eyes of the courts because she fights for her clients as she hates to loose. However, she needs to be much less confrontational, aggressive and condescending. Her aggressive approach to family law is not the way that judges prefer and so there so be other ways to go about winning.

Alexandra Abramian is one of the best lawyers in Toronto. She is very knowledgeable, trustworthy, powerful fair, she knows what she is doing, also she knows how to negotiate with the opposite party and not let it happened for trial. I have got a referral from my friend to hire her and very blessed by having her. Alexandra has helped me to get a Sole Custody of my child. Before having her I have had 2 lawyers which got me very disappointed. But Alexandra could negotiate with the other party right the way and finish everything. It's very important to have a good lawyer and I strongly recommend everyone to have Alexandra Abramian.

The comment below about Abramian being removed from a case by a Judge is misleading. Abramian was removed, yes due to a breach of professional conduct, but this breach essentially amounted to a conflict that was created when she dealt communicated directly with an opposing party. It was a 'technical' breach.

Alexandra is a nice lady, but she takes on more than he can handle. My case was given to other lawyer in her office, and it was taking months to get something done. The office seems to be making its money by taking it's sweet time with files, and charging clients for back and forth communications. The lawyer herself does not do much, unfortunately. I requested my file to be transferred elsewhere after not getting anywhere in 4 years. Another lawyer had already reached an agreement with other party in just a few months. If you don't have money to waste, look elsewhere.

Very bad lawyer. I hired her for custody case AND AS A RESULT WE SLEPT WITH MY 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER ON THE FLOOR. She told me that the other party wants trial, it was a lie. She encouraged high conflict, lost absolutely everything in my case and said that threw the telephone somewhere and cannot answer my phone calls.

Before you hire this attorney look up her previous cases on CANLII. http://canlii.ca/t/gkfnh . In July of 2015 she was removed from a case. The judge ruled: "I find that Ms. Abramian did breach Rule 7.2-6 of the Rules of Professional Conduct, and this factors into the decision for her removal." "In all of the circumstances, the public’s confidence in the administration of justice would be eroded, I find, if Ms. Abramian were permitted to continue to act."

Well, unfortunately, my friend hired her. My first impression was the following ; she doesn't look like a professional, she has cheap blonde hair extensions like some high school girl .However, "don't judge a book by its cover "I thought! From there things got even worse, she promised a lot to my friend and sounded very tough . However, her style is too much "soviet" for Canadian court system. She doesn't realize that judges like when people try to compromise and find solutions in court and not just fight unreasonably. She continued fighting, judge didn't like her " soviet" style behavior and lack of compromise. She lost my friend's court case . Try another lawyer!

She encourages high conflict instead of looking for a reasonable solution. I alo think that she portrays herself as a"tough" lawyer. Although it might impress some clients she can really hurt your case when she is being unreasonable. She is pretty knowledgeable, but I wouldn't call her professional.Look for another lawyer.

Alexandra represented me in matrimonial manner. I had a particularly complex issue to resolve and Alexandra set about solving this with diligence, tenacity and compassion. Her attention to my needs and the sensitive nature of my case made this a difficult and time consuming effort. Her professionalism and knowledge of this area of law was outstanding. Don't know what you people are complaining about: lawyers ARE expensive; good lawyers are twice as expensive. Alexandra is a very professional and responsible lawyer with excellent communication skills and manners, i.e. answers all calls and emails. She does help to avoid the trial; takes children's well being into consideration, has a very good sense of reality, so it is practically impossible to deviate her from the course for those who choose to lie in court.

She is amazing. She is smart classy and very successful. The people on here who are complaining are doing so because they do not want to spend any money on their legal fees and are acting out of vengefulness. The judges in the courts respect this lawyer for her great work.

Inconsistent, hard to follow up with her advises because she is constantly changing them.Alexandra Abramian is not consulting with her client prior to send responses to other party and doesn’t keep you updated. Prefer phone conversation with the other party rather than write letters, so when you got $ amount to pay, you mostly see “ Hours” of telephone calls with other party’s lawyer, but YOU don’t know what subject had been discussed.
Don’t waste your time and money, shop around for somebody else.
