Excellent knows the law and does not back down. You get what you pay for! He will tell you straight up when you are right and when you are wrong, and he knows his stuff. Family law is filled with emotion and Pat is someone that will see past the emotion and gets to the end. His staff is knowledgeable and efficient so don't be put off if he has others assist. You are better to pay for his staff for backup and then have him for the court appearances. He comes well prepared and he knows his content.

Highly over-rated. Extremely expensive. Produces zero results. Always on vacation. Refers to his junior inexperienced lawyer or his clerk to do all the work. Condescending. If you don't do what he says he tells you to go somewhere else. DON'T USE HIM!

my ex husband was extremely abusive. my case was very complicated because we were also business partners running a very successful business. the law was not on my side. 10 years after we started the business - we got married. the common law rules that applied during the 10 years of cohabitation - changed to percentage into the marriage and ALL of the assets were in his name. without Patrick Schmidt's belief in me and his tenacity - I would not have survived. the case went all the way to a 4 week trial - which I won. I cannot say enough great things about this man. he was the right person for the job for me.

He was very lazy- always on vacation..Always getting his assistant to call you back. Told me to go back to my husband. What kind of lawyer says this to his client? Did really no work for a lot of money.He is out for the pay and not much else

My husband retained Schmidt based upon the positive selling job in our first meeting. It turned out it was all false promises. All the work was done by his junior partner, and in fact, I ended up paying for two lawyers at a rate of $1500 an hour!! He never took the time to verse himself with my file and ultimately caused extensive delays and extra costs. There was no value for the extra dollars. Needless to say, he was fired!!!
