Take the negative comments posted here seriously. The positive comments are likely crafted by Ms. Knight herself. All you have to do is ask around town and you will consistently be discouraged from retaining Ms. Knight. She is quite aware that she does not have the skills to take on a file ethically and professionally, which is why she resorts to unethical and unhealthy tactics. She simply can't control herself from doing that because it is all she knows. With the new directive that has come into effect feb 1st she is certainly in a pickle.

I found Marcia to be the best choice I ever made. She cares about my life and son. She takes time out on weekends to meet or return my call to accommodate me when needed. She tried her hardest to work with a completely unwilling party on the other side. When trial became our reality she worked countless hours to prepare to be ready for me when I needed her the most. If you want amazing help you pay and in a difficult divorce money is not an object. I am lucky to have her on my side. She truly wants to help you. That is more important to her than making money off you and I don't feel there are many lawyers out there you can say that about. Ultimately if there's a solution she works hard to make it happen. I consider her a friend not just my lawyer and am grateful to have met her. I had a previous lawyer and had I had her from the beginning I truly feel my situation would have been better. As well as cost less overall. Higher her!

This lawyer is dishonest and is motivated to get all of your $. She acts like a child. Also, she's a litigation lawyer....which means that she makes $ from dragging cases through 308 York. Another shady lawyer to stay away from is Len Fishman. Both are shady and dishonest.

Marcia recently took my case as a referral. She basically told me she did not have time to deal with my file and I was patient. She took my retainer and charged me way too much for basically nothing. two meetings and a few emails...I called her office to follow up and she charged me each time and did not return my call. please note do not use here she charges way to much for nothing...look elsewhere

Marcia is a bully. She takes advantage of clients that have mental health issues and plays on emotions and pacifies you with false hope, while she drains away your savings. Once she realizes the bank has run dry she is done with you. unethical is an understatement

Marcia was absolutely amazing. I would recommend her over and over again. She expressed care and deep concern for my case. I can't give her enough praise. Her staff are always helpful and easy to communicate with. WONDERFUL!!

Marcia became my lawyer 5 years ago for what ended up being a long, drawn out litigation. And to be perfectly honest, there were times that I really wasn't sure about the choices I had made. HOWEVER, now that we have come through the exercise as the successful party, I can say that Marcia knows what she's doing. Yes, she's often late for appointments. Yes, she is caught up in the practice of sending letters till you want to cry. And yes, she's expensive. But now having watched her in court advocate on my behalf, and masterfully make an argument whilst exposing lies, I'm glad she was my counsel of record. So in my experience much of the negative commentary here is undeserved.

Marcia won't let your husband get away with lies. She is late for appointments but she is one tough cookie when we are in meetings. She got me what I needed when my ex was tryin to screw me around. She listens and really cares.

We were on the receiving end of this lawyer. If you are bitter, want to drag on your case, make sure that parental alienation is key, harrass your soon to be ex with wasted paper, and legal motions then this is the lawyer for you. If you allow your pending divorce to go on forever because you just can't let go, then this is the lawyer for you. If you want to produce lies and become a vexatious litigant, then this is the lawyer for you. Anyone who retains Ms. Knight as a lawyer is the type of individual that wants nothing more than to fight instead of looking at what's important, children and their rights and the rights of both parties to have a fair and equitable settlement. If you retain this lawyer and drag things on for years then you deserve her $60,000.00+ bill. Thank-you Ms. Knight for making it possible for us to be together and showing us how life can be so much better by "distancing" ourselves from the mess.

I was told Marcia was excellent, and I wouldn't have to worry. She neglects to respond to calls, emails ect.. It's extremely frustrating, she does however charge you for every call you make to try and see what is going on! She's has always late with her appointments, showing up for court hardly on time - it's embarrassing especially since she charges you $400/hr! With that rate you would expect her to be prepared and sort of know details from your case - that has never been my experience. She has dragged my case on for years (which caused agreements to be changed because of her neglect!!), I should have changed lawyers, but every time I thought we were done, she dropped the ball. The other disappointing thing is that her assistants are bitter and rude - all in all, you're pretty much screwed with Marcia & Company. You are just another penny in platinum lined pocket. Please look around, interview, and ask for references. Save yourself thousands of $$$$

this lawyer causes a situation to become worse by her imagined uninformed situation and assumptions. she took my simple agreeable situation and twisted it for her agenda. she is very rude and condescending by insulting, outside of court or a judge. She refuses to communicate or respond (fax, phone or email) bc she is soo busy, on trial, on other files etc etc. She drags everything out extensively to pad her retirement. She is on many lawyers blacklist to deal with becuase of her bad attitude and lack of communication, and her draggging everything out. This is a lawyer who is looking for early retirement on a clients dollar. If you are looking at avoiding paying child support, and would like to pay a lawyer instead...she is the one for u!
