Paul retired, but stay away from all lawyers at his firm Basran Robin. Collectively, FLAWED and you will pay with your life. (My father is dead indirectly from this). Paul is a gentleman and because I believe that this holds value I stayed/trapped -could not run. Bottom-line 'DELAYED JUSTICE IS NO JUSTICE'.Paul did NOT act on one thing in a timely manner. At every turn there was vile corruption, including Justice Linda Loo. With every horor my ex committed Pau said "this(injustice) will not stand." Well, injustice in divorce not only stands it wins. 12 years in court; I paid to burn in HELL. I ran from my marriage to save my kids and myself; I was handed one of the most criminal divorce cases in CANADA. He left me to the last minute/never followed up/didn't even advise me going walking into trial that he could not 'speak with me'. Started in 2007; thanks to Paul, 2024, I am still facing legal proceedings. His final words to me "what you faced should never have happened." IT DID!

One of his go-to expert witnesses is now the subject of a class action for harming families. Daltrop settled with us out of court for hiring said witness.

Paul Daltrop represented me on a contentious case. There were numerous mistakes, missed dates and a very unsuccessful trial. He was personally criticized by the judge, which impacted the outcome. He is generally ill-prepared and relies solely on his experience - whether relevant to the case or not. More importantly, one will never get the full picture from him regarding the case and every failure is somewhat justified. He appears in court not quite prepared and does not listen to his client. He has good demeanor, which can be misleading as he covers the mistakes and errors - until you find out it is too late.

This lawyer also represented me in a potential child abduction case and worked alongside me to ensure I had access to all relevant legal information - helped me remain involved in my case. Nothing but good to say about this man in a case that lasted over 2 yrs.

PD is an older lawyer who is inflexible, makes mistakes, and does not address errors - timely or otherwise. He leaves matters to the last minute. He does not challenge the other party or presses on issues. You will have little influence on your case when in his hands. He relies on his experience (and his assistant) solely without preparing for the case - or preparing his client. He is not suitable for high-conflict cases or when the opposing party is aggressive or has an aggressive lawyer.

PD represented me in a family case that involved concerns for child abduction. We worked closely together and if difficult to reach at times, we were always in contact for crucial/critical stuff. I felt like I was informed at all times. He knew when to push or not, and respected my decision not to follow his suggestion and represented me fully that time too. Could not have asked for a better lawyer, extremely fair with charges for his work as well.
