I wasted a year and a half with this lawyer and lost all of the money in the sale of my house when I retained her for my divorce at the same time! She took $10,000 of my money claiming that she was working on my divorce, even though she had her untrained Secretary do all the work and filed incorrect papers! In the end she disappeared without a trace, closed her practice and left with whatever of my money she still had in trust! I had to find a new lawyer who ended up having to Re-do all paperwork as it was incorrect, missing from files, or never actually completed!

Awful! Awful! Awful! This woman has an illness and should not be practicing. Had I not invested a lot of money in the retainer and still had some money I would have taken her to court to get some fees back. Had to terminate her when she simply just disappeared at a crucial time in a divorce matter. Wherever she has gone to, stay away from her. Run away.

This lawyer was the worst experience I have ever had with any lawyer. Calla handled the purchase of my first home and my first drafted will. She handed me a document wit. Other people's names in it. I spent an entire appointment proof reading my own will which obviously was not reviewed and then tried to charge me for it. She screwed up royally on my house as well. I do not have enough space to go through the entire disaster that she put me through with both will and home purchase. Avoid this lawyer and find one who knows what they are doing and will not over charge you doing it. She has no clue what she is doing and it is scary.

Went to her with a very difficult family situation and received excellent advice and prompt service in regards to an estate. I could not have been more pleased with the results. I have had dealings with several lawyers previously who wasted my time and money bigtime, and I regret not having gone to Ms. Coughlan in the first place. I hope she returns to practice in some form. I would definitely recommend her.

This lawyer made a complete mess of my divorce. After a year I finally had to get another lawyer to to re-do everything. The retainer I gave this lawyer was a complete waste of money as all paper work had to be redone anyway. She pretends she knows what she is doing at first and is very convincing but but my confidence dwindled very quickly. Save yourself alot of money, find another lawyer. There is lots to choose from don't make the same mistake I made by giving her the benefit of the doubt.

They should be scrutinized by marketplace and she and her thug husband should be disbarred! You call yourself a professional maybe a clown and a circus act! DO NOT USE This Lawyer! We beg you for your peace of mind DO Not Do IT! Everything she and her firm does is so suspicious and unprofessional ..Mistake after mistake to do a simple real estate transaction.

This is an incompentent law firm. The real estate lawyer was very rude and had not professionalism at all. This firm did not return phone calls and gave no information unless I asked for it. I had to keep hounding them to see what stage they were in for a simple real estate transaction. They should be on 20/20 someone going undercover. Cannot believe a law firm like this even exists. Do not use this law firm as they will overcharge and care nothing about their clients.

This Woman does not know a barrister from a barista and probably would not qualify for the second. The level of incompetence she showed both in court and out is mind blowing!! DO NOT HIRE THIS “LADY”!! She may seem like she has a sympathetic ear but her inability to file court documents properly and her constantly blaming others (her own staff as well as other lawyers) for errors that were blatantly her fault brings incompetence to a whole new level. If you hire her you will spend most of your time hounding her to get stuff done. That is if you can find her, she will be unavailable for months on end. Do yourself a favor if you have already hired her cut your losses and find another lawyer you WILL! Be much better off.

On several real estate purchases and sales I have had good results with this firm. Their real estate assistant is quick and efficient and the office is friendly territory. They may have too much business but there must be a reason for that.

Calla and her team are excellent, I had a very nasty divorce case, before meeting Calla, I had hired a well known lawyer from Winnipeg to help me through my divorce, well after 3 years and $300,000.00 this lawyer sunk us. Discouraged and desperate to find a good lawyer to help us undue what this lawyer had done to me. I found Calla Coughlan just new and fresh to law. This woman is amazing. Won our case, no spousal support, no arrears, divorce finalized, I wish I would have found Calla the first time around because with her my divorce would not have costed me as much and wouldn't of lasted 7 miserable years. Thank You Calla and your team you gave me my life back.

This firm is small but it's heart is what matters most. Calla came from humble roots and draws on her own experiences! This is not a criticism rather a complement. She can relate to her clients and what they are going through. Never forgetting where she has come from, Calla and her staff are very down to earth doing what they can to assist their clients. My husband and I had our wills, health care directives and power of attorney's done with Calla. She was honest and helped us determine the best way to word our documents to ensure they would be interpreted the way WE wanted them. I have recommended a colleague to Calla Coughlan Law and he has remained with her for more than a year working through a really difficult file. Calla may not always contact me right away but I appreciate that she is busy and do not mind receiving updates from her staff. Calla Coughan Law is a TEAM and that is what I like best. Its a city firm with a small town feel.

One of the worst encounters with a lawyer that ive ever had.She was informative at the beginning until she received my retainer in what was to be an easy divorce case,and then i never EVER heard back from her(6 weeks!!!)I called and left her over 10 messages to call and she never called once!!Even after I reached an agreement with my ex....she was no where to be found. If I were to make a recommindation it would be for you to look elsewhere for another lawyer.
