I sent him 6 e-mails regarding my case. He responded once, which was telling me what the retainer fee was. He wanted me to deposit the funds into his personal checking account. He never had me sign anything stating what his hourly rate was. After paying him $1750 and being ignored for 3weeks, I let him know I will not be retaining him and asked for my $1750 back. He gave me the run around & when I met him at his office, he wrote me a check for $1400. He said there is an hourly rate of $350 that he was charging me for taking the time to read the 6 e-mails I sent him. He also told me that upon retaining him and keeping his services he would have waived that hour fee of $350, but to his benefit, he did NOT tell me he would waive this until I already canceled his service. A week after depositing the check, not from the personal account I put it in, but from a so called Trust Account, the check bounced, I got charged a fee from my back and the money was immediately taken from my account.

If Bickerstaff comes up on your webpage as you search for an attorney CLICK! and get off that page!!!! This guys is horrible. Quick to collect money but slow to act. He never returns calls. Never answers calls. His whole staff is full of****. They take messages and promise to return your call with the requested information but it never happens. In fact I should file a lawsuit against them for malpractice, misrepresentation, inappropriate billing, negligence. If I had the dough I would.

This guy is a money hungry horrible attorney. I acquired him for a simple quit claim contract negotiation on the deed to a home. In 6 months he accomplished absolutely nothing. He can never be reached I had to call and leave messages with his secretary a MINIMUM of ten times before I get 1 useless return phone call. Oh, that is unless he is calling to ask for more money he is very prompt. Stay clear. For my last court appearance he was preparing on the way to court. Reading documentation on the way to the courthouse for the FIRST time. Is it possible to sue a lawyer for poor representation? Though recommended by a friend he is a money hungry worthless attorney. I will post as many reviews as possible to make others aware.
