Russell Carlson is a Mormon, NOT a Christian. If you are LDS his representation is great. If not then be aware that there is a lot of Mormons in this county and they stick together. If your ex is Mormon and you are not, then he might not be the attorney for you.

Russell Carlson is very unorganized and misplace several critical documents including a copy of my court order, in which I had to provide him with it twice. He seems attentive and a very good listener but that's all he is. I switched attorneys as I felt he didn't have my children's best interest in mind.

Russell starts off good, but makes mistakes that he does not apologize for and has no follow through. Does not return emails or phone calls. Do not hire him

I just recently hired him. But, I have to disagree with the negative reviews. Not only did he return my calls, he called during the weekend on his family time. I could already tell he was passionate about kids and family and I feel safer and more confident already.

I'm rating Russell because I saw a poor rating on here. My guess is that client wanted something very unreasonable. Russell Carlson is a phenomenal attorney who obtained an exceptionally fair outcome for myself and my daughter. I fully agree with the first rating regarding Russell's ability to deal in family court. He was very fair and open with my ex-husband in the case, and was very straightforward with me regarding what would and would not happen in court, and what is fair and what is not. If the need arises, I would absolutely call Russell again. I felt the fee charged was very fair, in fact much lower than I expected to have to pay.

This attorney never answered my calls in a timely maner, never directly answered my questions, always skated around them. I never got straight answers from him. He lost some critical paperwork concerning my case and he was never willing to fight on my behalf for things that were of importance to me. He gladly took all my money and sucked me dry though. If you are willing to hire this attorney, be prepared to do most of the work yourself and get screwed in the end.

Really listens and really cares. Especially good when children are involved. I highly recommend him. He is a christian family man.
