Only cares about his billing and and does not put any fight into his work for his client. I would have been better off reading the law for myself than spend the money to meet with him. VERY slow, bills for everything, and does very little. Tries to persuade the client to change their mind on an issue rather than advocate for the client's point of view.

Do not retain Mr. Kao. The only thing he is good at is taking your money and doing nothing for you.

Mr. Kao should not be allowed to practice law and most certainly should not be an OCL lawyer. He shows no compassion for victims of violence, belittles them, contradicts himself, and lies in court and in court documents. He avoids meeting with clients and just makes up what they should say. He ignores communication except when it benefits him. He has no interest in the truth, or he'd be meeting with clients and looking at evidence. He only cares about what's easiest for him and then ensures that everything he brings forth supports his story. He has no knowledge or interest in the best interest of the children he represents. Disbar him now, before anyone else gets hurt!

Mr. Kao provided excellent advice/service in a timely manner. I would gladly recommend his service to my family and friends. His expertise was appreciated in a challenging real estate scenario. All communication was prompt and succinct.

I too was refereed by EAP service through work. He never returned my many calls or emails. He said he would send letters to my ex, and he didn't. He continually let things slide and my divorce dragged on and on. I think things could have been settled faster and I had to find a new lawyer mid point through my case, which hurt my position.

He doesn't reply to emails or voice mails in a timely manner. It sometimes took 2-3 weeks to get a response and that was after constant emailing and calling. He doesn't produce results but then will charge you for time reviewing the case with no proof. Took him weeks to send out a simple letter and then does not provide information or follow up. Not only has he disappointed me but my family and the child that this case was concerning. I was referred to him through an EAP (Employee Assistance Program) so his rate was discounted, I wonder if that's why he paid no attention to the case just the retainer cheque??!!
