I hate leaving all 1/5s because that is too much. Negative 5 on all counts. She will completely reverse the child's preference if it favors dad in any way. The child has long been an adult now and hates the lies she constructed. PTSD severe as a result. She pairs with an under qualified social worker with minimal credentials, who also lies and is involved with Mothercraft. The pamphlets in the office give direct examples of mothers typically having primary custody..etc. If your are an alienating parent looking to abuse your child(ren) with parental alienation tactics she is 5he one for you. If you love your children, share them and avoid her and her associates at all costs! YoYove been warned!!

Jane is good lawyer who is experienced, knowledgable and effective. She worked long hours and even weekends to ensure the best outcome towards my divorce and court proceedings. I felt protected, supported and put at ease as she represented me with a very favourable outcome She is a compassionate, patient and honest person with great integrity. I found her costs quite fair and reasonable. Even after my case was finished, Jane has continued to be a support to me, offering any help and advice free of charge.

Jane O'Neill was my lawyer for a family matter. She was always very understanding and actually listened to what I have to say and where I was coming from. She worked very hard, even in some cases working with me on weekends because of our busy schedule. She is personable, knowledgeable and trustworthy yet stern and open-minded. Jane is friendly but she will not tolerate nonsense, which make her a great lawyer to have on your side. She has gone above and beyond for my case, dealing with things she didn't have to. So thankful for her, she is an amazing lawyer who will get things done. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a family lawyer.

The worst family laywer in Ottawa. She is there for herself to make money rather than resolving issues. She lets the cases linger on which cost her clients money. She is very disrespetful and manipulating. Stay away from her at all cost unless you want to be in a quagmire and not interested in moving on with your life.

Jane O'Neill is an excellent attorney. She has great people skills, knows her stuff and always makes you feel comfortable. She is not arrogant and won't "nickel and dime you". Jane knows the law and was always efficient when preparing for my case. She always goes above and beyond and shows that she cares about my children and will fight for their well being. She doesn't make promises to mislead you, and always works diligently on your behalf. She will always discuss your case and let you know what she can or cannot do. I am very lucky to have found a lawyer that actually knows what she is doing, and is always focused on the best outcome. I would highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for a great lawyer you can rely on!

I retained Jane to write a separation agreement, despite providing a retainer, Jane put-off my agreement over the summer months to suit her vacation schedule. After nudging her several times, a mediocre agreement was produced (using a template software from www.Divorcemate.com, no less). Four months after initially meeting with her, she requested an additional retainer claiming she had surpassed my initial retainer! No detailed statement of account was ever provided. After requesting a statement of account, I received one. To ensure that I would pay-up promptly she conveniently back-dated her letter to me, which I found to be cheap and petty of her...This whole experience made a difficult experience worse...

Ms O'Neill is a very personable lawyer. Very friendly and down to earth. However... You need better qualities than this when it comes to court representation! Absolutely appalling. Did nothing to support my case, even when evidence against my ex was stacked, she still saw the good in him. Certainly did not fight for me, the client. I spent many nights worrying about where her loyalties lay and why she felt the need to support my ex when I was the one paying her to support me! Not worth the money.

I am a man with one child. I was referred to Mrs O'Neill by a close friend...
Mrs O'Neill expressed worry relative to my son and myself in view of my personal situation.
Since I have hired her services, she has been of great help to me professionally and morally supportive. She took the time to explain some processes and decisions which helped reduce my anxiety.
Without her competence and persistance, I would not have obtained equal custody for my son.
I have and will recommend Mrs. O'Neill.

She is a terrible lawyer i was a female client and even with this said , she is very cruel to the male gender, stay clear of this lawyer at all costs ...also too add her years of"experience" must have stayed 15 years back cause her knowledge of new laws need to be brushed up!

I have nothing but praise for Jane O'Neill. If she takes you as a client, you have someone 100% invested in your case. I have never seen another lawyer go above and beyond for clients the way Ms. O'Neill does. If you're looking for a lawyer who feeds you what you want to hear and bills outrageously, go elsewhere. Jane will always keep you informed, tell it like it is, play straight, and fight like hell for you.

Jane is too busy, disconnected from her clients, lacks follow up with important issues, slips key dates and pushes you off until you suit her schedule. In the meantime your case gets weaker. I think she favors representing women so if you're a guy, watch out! She is pessimistic and discouraging at times.

Best Family Lawyer in town! I have no idea what the negative comments are about as I think you rated the wrong lawyer!!! The value she brings into her cases is outstanding I would over pay her in a heartbeat! She is fabulous very understanding and patient. I had support throughout my difficult trial with an abusive ex partner. My experiences with this lawyer are nothing but positive. She comes highly recommended.

From my experience, this lawyer is incompetent. She is sooo negative about your case. She nickel and dimes you constantly but even if you pay her on time, she delivers nothing tangible. She argues with you the client at every opportunity but stumbles when arguing in front of a judge. I feel she has a dislike for male clients. In my opinion, she is a lawyer who lacks customer care, she's just in this for whatever money she can earn. Complaining about how you don't provide information to her fast enough yet you do. I would stay away from this lawyer if you're out to defend your rights, she's just not good, simple as that.
