There should be a zero rating in cases like this. She is the worst lawyer I have ever encountered and that says a great deal. She cheated my late Mother and would call going on about some crazy uncle Bill of hers, and then charge my Mother for the time on the phone. My poor Mother lost terribly in a divorce case and when her scheming son and daughter in-law tried to have her declared mentally incompetent. She was fine physically, but failing physically and they were attempting to take any money she had left, Karen did not protect her. Karen was useless and in one month charged her $10,000 in fees for doing Nothing, the final bill exceeded $20,000. During the process, my Mother died of a heart attack due to the stress before the divorce was final. I know Thompson is retired now, but she shouldn't be given any honors, she is a despicable human being, and has no moral compass whatsoever. How she was ever allowed to be a lawyer is beyond comprehension. I hope that Kharma has fun with her.

Just went to mediation and lost miserably because of my agreement written by Karen Thompson. Both lawyers involved wondered who had written such a ambiguous and extremely poorly written agreement. She left me completely open to getting ripped off. Would never use her and should have fired her,five years ago, I knew she wasn't good but was in such a emotional state, just being newly separated.She is useless.

Be very careful when using this lawyer. They allow their staff to divulge any and all confidential client information to whoever they want. If you don’t want your case to be public knowledge use someone else!

This is an all women's club - Men if you are considering using her for mediation be prepared to get a bias judgement. Unfortunately, I took the recommendation from my lawyer (agreeing to use her). Please do your research before choosing this lawyer. Note: this is only my opinion.
