The reason why Darren was suspended is because of his own behavior. He was less than honest about anything that he had done, which included taking taking money that did not belong to him and making up false billings to cover it up. The Peterson Mullen website indicates that Darren has now retired from practising law. Was he asked to or was it easier than facing all the heat. There is more than just a handful of people that he has taken advantage of!
