Avoid Jane. We thought her confrontational style meant she would fight FOR us. We were wrong. She and my husband actually yelled at each other. She didn't listen well to our view. It's like she was afraid of the other lawyer. Eventually, after wasting time & money, we got another lawyer and resolved things smoother, without yelling.

I asked Ms. Koler to write a simple environmental covenant for me in August 2008. After taking my retainer, she never initiated contact with me nor replied to e-mails requesting updates on my project. It took six months of constant calling to get the first draft of the covenant out of her. But she used the wrong boilerplate form (readily available from Ecology), and sent the draft to the wrong office although I had provided her with the correct contact name, e-mail, phone, and address. Then she charged me more than double her original estimate. I had to redo the entire covenant myself.

Jane has a vast knowledge of land use laws because she has practiced exclusively in this area for over 30 years. She takes a creative approach to each case and fights zealously for her clients. And she has reasonable rates.

She didn't keep me informed and misfiled lawsuit into federal court and another lawyer told me a two year old should have known better. After they kicked it back in her face she dropped the case and didn't even tell me what happened, I had to find out for myself, WOW amazing.
