After reviewing the "good reviews" it must depend on who Tom is respresenting. Face to face, he seems to be a normal lawyer, almost the guy next door type. His response and communication about upcoming appointments are BAD, time wasted on multiple days. I would expect more feedback when legal papers are signed by a judge and filed at the court house to be sent to the client in 2-5 business days via email or snail mail would be most kind, but I had to call and ask why am I getting information online from court records before I hear a peep out of my attorney? I am not sure if he was trying to be the worst lawyer ever, if so, well done and most impressive disgrace on representing the legal system. Good luck City of Durant!

We are very pleased and thankful that Mr. Marcum handled our case. He always took our calls, answered our questions and acknowledged communication through emails. He was genuine and extremely competent. We highly recommended, Mr. Marcom, Attorney at Law.

Tom got me far more for injuries I received in a car wreck than I expected. It took some time but not more than what I thought was reasonable. He et me know what I needed to do when I needed to do it and was in the office most of the times I called. Good lawyer and good firm.

All I can say is he saved my butt. I had nothing but a good experience with Thomas. He was very knowledgeable and remained in contact with me the whole time. I somehow doubt these other two clowns that posted even paid their bill. I saw nothing but professionalism.

i had a wreck june 2009 and hired tom marcum. it has been almost three years ago now and he has only called me twice during this time. when i call him i am forwarded to voicemail and my calls are never returned. when i do get to to talk to him he never seems to have anything different to say from the last time we talked five months ago.

I had to hold his hand through every step of the process, asking for outside help and checking his work to make sure all was done in a timely manner. Once he received his fee, he was ready to take the first plea offer from the DA, he was reluctant to follow up with the Dept. of Pub. Safety. He did not advise me of all the terms of my plea causing me to fail to meet some of the terms withing the allotted time period. He seemed unfamiliar with the process he was supposed to be leading me through. Thankfully I had others to talk to and ask questions, otherwise I might be in jail for not meeting some of the terms of my plea agreement which he failed to tell me about. Never in this process has he contacted me regarding any issue. I have had to follow up with him repeatedly and many times remind him what we talked about and what he said he would do the previous meeting. If I had it to do over again, I would definately seek another attorney. He is giving Burrage Law Firm a bad reputation.
