Lloyd Bates is the epitome of a stereotypical sleazy lawyer you see in movies...unfortunately he exists in real life. Mr. Bates is absolutely out to maximize the amount of money he can extract from a case without making any progress in the courts whatsoever. As can be seen from other reviews, his staff is equally as incompetent as him. Further, Lloyd Bates does not care what is best for his clients, for the family, or most importantly the children involved. All he cares about is money. There is a special place in hell for men like this that disregard the psychological well being of children because they want to prolong a case and ill advise their clients in order to keep running up the bill. As one other attorney in Las Cruces so accurately stated: "Lloyd Bates makes bad lawyers look good."
