Donna Wowk of Wowk Law is a fantastic lawyer, with years of experience and knowledge in family law. Her first concern is always what is best for the children. She is a straight shooter. She will tell you like it is and not waste your time and money. Donna has handled two separate custody battles for my family and the results were better than either of us expected. We owe her an extreme debt of gratitude.

My biggest fear in going through this whole process was the thought of working with a lawyer who wouldn't take the time to provide real personal service. I really appreciate everything Donna Wowk did for my family. Let’s face it divorce is never pleasant and Donna went above and beyond throughout a tumultuous 6 months. Ms. Wowk had my best interest at heart in regards to the custody of my son. Her guidance and service was essential in winning a very complex case. She was responsive and sensitive to my questions when they arose and even attended to them after hours, going above and beyond what I was expecting.

Of all the lawyers that I have dealt with over the past 40 years, both professionally and personally, Donna ranks in the top 4! (Two of the 4 serve as justices on the Supereme Court of BC and one has passed away). Of the lawyers I dealt with during my divorce, Donna is head and shoulders above the rest! Perhaps, those with complaints should have listened to her advice. Even if she disagrees with your decision, she understands the emotional issues surrounding divorce, will treat you with respect and will protect your rights. I highly recommend her.

Donna Wowk is perhaps the worst lawyer on the planet. She represented me, and lost every single court appearance. She was sloppy, unprepared, and unprofessional. All of our interactions were her arguing with me, and then sending me outrageous bills laden with her billings and those of her cronies. Her negotiations skills were awful and she spent her time repeating that I would certainly lose and should agree to anything that my ex wanted. She didn't seem to understand that clients can lose themselves without having expensive lawyers. Donna Wowk works at Niman Gelgoot Associates, which is a firm that not only shifted me among 6 different lawyers at their firm, but did a bait-and-switch for Harold Niman, and he is why I chose this firm in the first place. When I found new counsel, it became abundantly clear that Donna Wowk knew nothing about how to develop a winning strategy (or any strategy except to give in). Do not allow Donna to represent you if you want a chance to succeed.

Pretty much what everybody wrote sums it up. She was a disaster to deal with during a very sensitive time. The case has spun so out of control we HAD to drop her. She wouldn't return calls and only contacted you when it came to billing. She contacted us to pay the remainder of the bill (62 owing, 60 paid) 2 weeks before we were suppose to go to court and they didn't do a thing except agree for us to pay more than what was even legal to the other party. My partner was on the verge of bankruptcy, hasn't seen his children in a year and a half and now that we have retained a new lawyer she is holding the file hostage and we have to take her to court to get the file so the new lawyer can actually do something for us. It nearly torn our relationship to pieces it was the most emotionally devastating experience of both our lives. His one child has completely turned on him and he rarely sees his baby all because Donna Wowk, did nothing at the most crucial time. She is a horrible human being.

she is basically here to waste your money. does not respond to other lawyers, causing undue delays and frustrated me beyond the limits of sanity. her poor demeanor and slothy look is embarrassing. if you want to waste money and time she is your lawyer! not a professional bone in her body! loves to think she knows how to handle the case but will only direct it in the way of causing more stress and problems in your life, also continues to run up the bill as she delays. Was never ready for court, had to adjourn a ton of times because of her. waste of money and time!

I would say for the money that is charged it was not a great exp. She was not very empathetic and I felt could have done more for my case. She was rude at times instead of being understanding. Family law is a sensitive area where some empathy is required! Spent all my money and still having to go back to court!

She is the best of the best. She cares about each client and makes herself available to clients at times when she is on vacation and on weekends if there is an urgent issue. She tries to settle cases fairly but if an issue cannot be settled she is well prepared for court and is obviously well respected by Judges. Her background with the CAS makes her very sensitive and caring about children and she does everything possible to promote good communication between parents for the sake of their children.

Only reason this cow got the job is because she's Niman's sister in law. Hopefully Niman didn't pull one of his stunts he's well known for with this one. She's a real prize. All 'round', keep away from Slimy Niman and his firm

Great lawyer if you want to waste a lot of money and not get results. Will do whatever it takes to work your case. Prepared to write bogus letters without any proof, just to make the other party look bad. No work ethics. Her ability is as good as her looks. Look at her profile and you will know what I mean. Of course, she has learned from her mentor Harold Niman. King of slim. Probably the reason he's on his fourth marriage, from what I am told. Was known as being a slim-ball as far back as the days he got called to the Bar. Where he came second in his graduating class. I'd prefer "first class". That for sure he wasn't and isn't. Just a first-class slimball.
