Booked appointment with her in January for March. Filled out a questionnaire she asked me to fill out before our appointment. Did so, sent it back to her assistant that same night. Heard NOTHING from either of them until THE MORNING OF MY APPOINTMENT when her assistant told me that she never got the questionnaire or the cohabitation agreement....I had to tell her when I sent it; there was no agreement because THIS WAS OUR FIRST MEETING. The whole point of looking for her council was to put something together independent of what my fiancé was doing, but their plan was to add their two cents to an already crafted agreement. She then canceled my appointment after I asked her if there was any other way that we could do this (there are other ways, I since spoke to other lawyers who agree she dropped the ball big-time by refusing to visit other avenues), never mind that this took away two and a half months of my time plus the day that I had booked off work to get this done.

Recommended to me by a professional for a complex custody issue. Carolyn was very prompt and knowledgeable in dealing with my case. She was also keenly aware of my financial position and helped my save costs wherever she could. I would strongly recommend her based on every aspect of my experience.

If you would like a fair lawyer then she was alright. She seems to be bias to the female side. Me being male made that a problem as she was MY lawyer. I was only in court for 1 day and with all of the fees and charges leading up to and including court it cost me over $5000. I would agree with the other post on here about needing a shark and got a minnow.

Was told had a very good case then, when time came for court, stated I shouldn't expect good results.
VG at sending LOTS of paperwork (thanks to our legal system) and invoicing. Paper shuffler.
Was asked to retrieve specific previous legal documentation and never did.
TOO many delays. Didn't hear from this lawyer for over a year at one point and when I contacted lawyer, didn't have documentation I had asked to be retrieved, for a year!!!
Usually late in calling back, shuffled a lot of the return calls off to assistant.
Avoids court like the plague and pins hopes on settlement but doesn't present evidence or full side of story.
Good presence in mediation meetings but caves in too soon and thinks this is acceptable. Needed a shark, got a minnow. Finished, after three years, by dropping case after paying mucho monies and getting nothing but prolonged grief.
Ineffective and ineffectual.
